Just came back from seeing it.

A very good second film in the series. It doesn't have the immediate effect of the first film (how could it?) but it's great fun and rattles along at fine speed.
Some of the sets are stunning and quite a few old friends from the first film make an appearance.

Now, how long do we have to wait for part 3? ;)

I'm in 100% agreement, we loved it, it was brilliant and very funny. We can't wait for 3 to come out. We stayed until the end of credits, as did more than half the cinema, which was different from the first film when there was only DH and I left in the cinema and the cleaners were waiting for us to leave!

We couldn't stay for the end of credits cause they turned on the lights and started cleaning the theater. I "lost" something for a long time but then gave up when they started cleaning round me.

Anyone want to fill me in on what i missed :confused3

Totally brilliant. This sequel is up there with Toy Story 2! :goodvibes
Loved seeing some of the 'old friends' appear again.... :rolleyes1

Also the way they brought back 'memories' of the last film, with quotes etc. awesome

Looked on IMDB, saying it will be called Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End. (which makes sense huh?)

should hopefully be out next summer, i can't wait! :bitelip:

Got tickets for next Tuesday (cheap night at our local) but we've gone for the deluxe screen, chose the seats and looks like there was only about 6 other seats sold, so I can drool over Captain Jack without too many people seeing me :cloud9:

Just got back, Gavin loved it but I wasnt massively impressed i'm afraid. Everything was just as spectacular as the first film but the plot line just didnt do anything for me at all, I really dont like that sort of thing (cant say what '*** no spoilers!)

Not what i want in a film but i dont expect it from this sort of film (in comparison to my fave films Shawshank and Brother Where at thou)
I can live with that if thats what i expect. I will enjoy.

It was absolutely brilliant ~ not sure if it was as good as the first, as it takes 2 or 3 goes for it all to sink in. Eldest DD thought the first hour was a bit slow, but the rest of us loved it all. The funniest part for me (though I won't give anything away) was when Capt. Jack was on the stick on the fire and how he looked like a kebab. I was so shocked at the ending, and I could easily have sat through another few hours of film. About 20 of us sat through the credits, thanks for that (Not !! ~ LOL) and we all burst out laughing at the ending (did we really sit through 10 minutes of credits for that !!) :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't wait to go and see it again, get the DVD and then see POTC 3 pirate:

re-watching POTC1 right now, impatiently aiting til POTC2 tonight at 7pm, glad I know about the extra bit after the credits, you can never have too much Cap'n Jack! pirate: :love:

I really enjoyed it, which I wasn't expecting to. I think it was actually better than the original although my mine was slightly mellow due to the 4 cocktails I had before hand :teeth:

Captain Jack isnt in the credits, after 2 hours of film there are 3 hours of credits and the one mild laugh when it comes up is really not worth the wait

I didn't think I'd get to see it until next week but DH managed to finish early enough for us to go last night. I absolutely loved it and the ending just has you screaming for POTC 3 :thumbsup2

We just went to see it and couldnt get in :sad: I looked at the seating yesterday and there were loads of seats so I thought that if we got there early we would be alright but there was a sign on the door saying that every showing was sold out!

Just come back. I thought the effects were amazing and it was funny. However, the story line was a dissapointment. We didnt wait until the end of the credits as we went with friends and they wanted to get home :rolleyes:

I saw it last night, i really loved it but the plot was very ropey! but thats not what you watch it for is it? Cap'n Jack was worth the ticket price alone! It really just sets up the story for POTC 3, we waited for the end credits while the cleaners cleaned around us and like others we just laughed out loud when we saw what we had sat through the credits for :lmao: , still at least we know what it was!
what happened to Keith Richards? i thought he had a part as cap'n jacks dad? or was that all speculation.we were hoping he was the extra in the end credits :confused3

went to see film this morning and thought it was brilliant. Stayed till end after credits. Although they could have put it on earlier it was a fun clip :)
