I'm Happy to hear from someone else going on this Cruise!!!
Are there many of you cruising? Will this be your first Disney Cruise?

My son(4) and I will be Cruising together and have been counting down the days! We can't WAIT!

Hi,

Nice to meet you. This will be our third DCL cruise. My wife and I are celebrating our 40th birthdays, along with our four children Justin 12, Joey almost 8, and our twin daughters, Jenna and Janna, 3 1/2.

We cruised this summer to celebrate Jenna and Janna's 3rd birthday. It was the girls first cruise and they haven't stopped talking about it. We took Grandma & Grandpa with us then, but, this time it will just be our family. :dance3: :dance3:

My son (Gavin) will be 4 1/2 at cruise time and is looking forward to going on the Mickey Slide. We cruised on Disney when he was 2 1/2 and he LOVED all the characters everywhere. So he's excited about seeing them again!
Our first cruise was so overwhelming that I really didn't relax or do much. This time I hope I can sit back & enjoy it more. Last Cruise we didn't make it to Castaway Cay due to the high Winds, so we are excited to get there this time.
It'll just be myself (Amy) and Gavin going this time. My husband can't get away from work and really isn't into cruising.
Last cruise we never even made it to the kids clubs. I'm hoping to let Gavin check them out this time and maybe play a few times.

Hope all is well. I cant believe the 90 day mark is approaching so quickly.

I hope you get to relax on this cruise. I agree DCL is overwhelming. I always plan on taking time to do nothing but watch the sea, however, I have yet to find the time while on the Wonder. I'm sure Gavin will enjoy the Club. Joey always had a great time and often asked to go back.

It looks like it will a very empty ship.

Only 123 DAYS left from today (10/9/06).............YEAH!!! I'm booked through dreams unlimited and on my account page they have a count down. I'm thrilled to see it going by so quickly. Pretty soon we'll be in the 2 digits!!!

Maybe my son will see your girls in the Oceaneer Club sometime. I'm looking forward to all the new changes I hear are happening at DryDock for the WONDER. There's supposed to be a sprinkler area added that I'm sure will be fun for the kids.
Hopefully it'll be warm enough to enjoy the pools and beaches. In Nassau we were planning on going over to Wyndham Resort for the day. To enjoy their beach area, pool and restaurants. We did that last time and had a really good time there.
Do you have any excursions planned?

Hi Amy,

How is everything? Sorry to have left you hanging. I have not been able to get onto this site for several weeks. Work has been getting in the way of vacation planning. Sounds like you and Gavin will have a great day in Nassau. We have not gotten off the ship with the kids while in Nassau, just took the kids to movies and to the pools.

I plan on making our air reservations today. Once I do that I know the cruise will really happen. :cool1:

Yep, Its that time to make the final Payment!!!
Lately I have been reading a lot and getting really Excited for our upcoming Cruise. I've been reading the DCL Trip Reports and my new 2006 Passporter.

I can't believe we haven't heard from any others going on this same Cruise???

I've heard its a good time to Cruise because the following week is Extremely packed with Presidents Day (school vacation time).

Can't Wait, my son and I have been planning all the Fun things we want to see and do!

Hey we just booked our cruise for this date. We have 4 rooms and this will be my first Disney Cruise. We have DD (8) and DS (6) who are very excited about going. We are going to surprise my DH's Aunt at Christmas and give her the tickets at that time.

Disney Cruises are the GREATEST! This will only be my second one, but we really Love cruising with Disney. They treat you like royalty!!!

We make the final payment on Tuesday and I am so excited. I think I am more excited than the kids. They really don't know what to expect and just don't know how much fun they will have. lol

My parents, aunt and cousin are going and this will be their second cruise. My mom says that she will never cruise again unless it is Disney.

We made our Final Payment on Monday..............YEAH!
Now it feels really REAL!

Got Gavin signed up for the Oceaneers Club online. We didn't sign up for any excursions, we'll probably do our own thing at Nassau & Castaway Cay.

If you're wondering about signing up for stuff prior to the Cruise, now is the time you can do that online.
I'm not sure who you made your Cruise reservations through. I went through Dreams Unlimited (I think they work very closely with Disney Cruise Line reservation website).

Anyways on Dreams Unlimited they gave me a link to Disney Cruise Line website to sign up for everything.
Whoever you went through you should be able to go to Disney Cruise Line website (Disneycruise.com) and then click on My Disney Cruise up on the top.
I would ask who you made your reservations with.

But some things you can sign up now are:
Palo (Adult restaurant)
Kids clubs
excursions
registration paperwork (check-in papers)

Hi Amy & Waddles,

I guess it is now time to get busy. I have half of the cruise docs completed, the girls registered for the club and Palos brunch booked. I still have the boys registration to do and the other half of cruise docs. I do believe online is much easier than the paper docs.

I have been looking at past weather in Feb. Looks like we have a pretty good chance of warm, sunny weather. :cloud9:

I bet Gavin is getting very excited. I have not told our younger three children since they would probably want to start packing. Our girls still talk about the last cruise.

Did Gavin do the D sea U Graduation? I think that was one of the highlights for the girls, we look at the pictures of the girls singing with Mickey on a weekly basis. All four kids still wear the tee shirts and girls wear thier Mickey ears all the time, too cute.

We are supposed to get our first winter storm tonight, so planning a warm cruise makes everything better. Have a good week. :wave:

Looks like our 3 families will have the whole boat to ourselves.

I am getting really excited and so are the kids. We are giving the cruise to DH's Aunt at Christmas and I can hardly stand the wait. The kids have been so good not to tell her and I just want to scream it at her.

We have the post - it notes with the days left on the fridge and I think ours says 29 today till we leave for Florida. I did get the kids signed up and I am going to try to call and make Palo reservations and possibly get started on the paperwork.

We got an awesome place to stay in Orlando on the 15th that is a 3 bedroom condo for 100.00 a night and since there is about 10 of us it will be perfect.

Hey- We are going to be on the Wonder too on 2-11. We just made plans this past weekend. We took a Disney cruise back in 9-05 and loved it and I was 20 weeks preg. with my daughter at the time. So, I am looking forward to cruising and not being pregnant.

We have 4 kids, DS (11 1/2), DS (9 1/2), DS (7)-I hope to put him with his brother in the lab and our DD has just turned 1. We have 2 cat 9 cabins on deck 2. I am glad to hear that there are other kids going. :yay:

I can't wait to go on our cruise. Hopefully we will meet one another.

Where is everyone from? We live north of Atlanta, GA.

Husband can't get away from work to cruise with us this time........:sad:

This will be our second Disney Wonder Cruise too. First one was a little overwhelming, hope to relax and enjoy this Cruise More!!!

We will be on the Wonder on 2/11 also. This will be our fourth Disney cruise. We our bringing our DD (9) and looking forward to a few days of relaxation. I am glad to know we are not the only parents pulling their kid(s) out of school for the trip!

miss m I felt very guilty about taking the kids out of school, but the boy is in kindergarten and is doing well and the other is in 2nd grade and she is also doing well. This was the only date that everyone could get together - there is 14 of us total. I figure this is a chance to spend some time together and maybe make some lifetime memories and how do you turn that down.

Hello everyone.

Its been awhile since I checked in, glad to see more will be joining us. I'm glad others are taking children out of school since it reduces the guilt factor. I met last week with my oldest sons Principal. I felt wierd asking for permission to take my child on vacation. The meeting went very well and the principal said up until her eldest child got into the eighth grade they went on a week long vacation during the school year each year.

We started packing last night. Today took our twin daughters to the Doctor, both girls have strep. Glad it happened this week!:sick:

Tlcurtin, we have DS12 and DS7, my children would like penpal(via the boards) prior to sailing if your children would be interested

Excited is not the word for our household. The kids are packed, DH is packed and I am working on it. All we talk about is the cruise. We got our tickets yesterday and had to go through all of that. We are staying in FL for another 6 days after the cruise and I really hope they warm up as I have only packed summer clothes.

This is my first cruise (even though I actually work for the cruise line) and I'm super excited! So far the weather here at the port has fluctuated.. but it's been great in the caribbean! We are so excited. We can't wait until we leave next Saturday. My son keeps telling everyone that he will be celebrating his 7th birthday on the cruise.(2-11) is his 7th birthday and he can't wait. medic2707- I am sure that my kids would like to penpal. Pray for warm weather!!! We have been experiencing ice here in GA. I can't wait to be in a nice warm place.

Only 8 more days! Yay! It was quite cold and rainy all day BUT it is going to get sunny :cool2: again in the next couple of days and it's supposed to be nice on Sunday. Hi in the 60's, which is still freezing for us Florida people, but warmer then it's been! Everyone who has been getting off the ships have been talking about the nice weather they've had once they got to the Bahamas so *crosses fingers* we are gonna have GREAT weather then! Everyone else as excited as me? :cheer2:

I know I'm supposed to bring only half of what I think I'll need, thats really HARD to do though!
