Canadian DVCer's- Received Your Pin?

Posted this on the DVC board, but didn't get much response. Heard that they have stopped sending the pins because some people were offended. Anyone here in the Frozen North (including Dave) get their pin?

Louise. I recall reading a thread that mentioned that Mickey flag pins were only being sent to US DVC members... Unfortunately, I think this makes sense. I don't think Disney would send a US flag to Canada, would they? As you know, they are very careful not to offend.

We moved from Toronto to Houston, 2 years ago...DVC'er at BWV and VWL. :) We got our pins a couple of weeks ago. Canadian or American, I think they're very special pins. I hope you get one.

I started a thread on the dvc board and the response I got was that they will give the pin only to US residents. I have too much work at the office to phone to disney now, but I want this pin and I will have one. I will surely have one minute to phone and I will convince them to send me one . Even if we are canadians, we pay the same dues ( and in us dollars ) as americans and I think it is discriminatory to not have one. I hope that we have the same rights as all others members no matters where you are from.

No pin here either. Let us know what Disney has to say when you ask them about pins for non-US residents. I don't want it bad enough to make a big deal out of it, however it is somewhat discriminatory to send out free gifts to some and not others. I did however get my new member guide in the mail this week - slightly mangled by Canada Post/US Mail but still readable. I like the new format with more pictures, however noticed that they didn't put a lot of effort in some sections and just referred you to their website.
