Ok, I'm not exactly the best at writing what I'm thinking so I'll say it this way....

I was just laying out a page that I wanted to make using pics of DD#2. Some of the papers were basic grey and some weren't. It was a HUGE pain to try to find papers that I had that would match/compliment what I was using. ( i don't have a ton of paper, yet)
Do you use a specific companies/lines of paper for a page or do you mix and match lines/companies? Is it just easier to stick to a specific line/company for each page?

Thanks and I hope I'm not too confusing :teeth:

I don't worry about lines or manufacturers. I go by colors or the feelings I want to get across. If I mix several types of paper by several manufacturers, I think it adds a lot of interest. In the end though, you have to like your pages. :)

I usually stick with Basic Grey if that is what I am using because it's tough to get anything else to match it. I sometimes will try to mix and match and with some you can and some you can't.

I've had good luck matching my basic grey sublime on our cardstock wall at my LSS. I think it is mostly Basil (sp?) cardstock. I have used a teal green that looks great, a light cream yellow that works ok also. I haven't even tried to match the reds....maybe a deep burgandy...picking up the deepest hue in your paper?? I've also taken paper from home where the color was "off" and aged it with ink. It's a different look, but the distressed look is very basic grey. Just take your paper in match away!! Good luck!!!
