We are taking our first DVC trip in a few weeks, but I have one question: Do the pools at DVC resorts provide towels the way deluxe and moderate resorts do?

Yes, pool towels are provided.

We only have stayed at OKW and there are towels. Unlike the mods and deluxe resorts, you have to pick up your towels from a person. There is not a cart there for you to take the towels out of.
We also had to show either our DVC card or room key (can't remember which) in order to get the towels.
No big deal but be sure who ever goes for the towels has the card or key.

We've stayed at 4 DVC resorts and they always have plenty of towels at the pools.

At BCV, VWL, SSR, towels are available in the cart. No key required. (Stormalong Bay at BCV did require a key sometimes though.)

OKW neighborhood pools have towels available from carts (no key required), but the main pool towels must be picked up from a person.

Also at the main pool at BWV there was no person - we just helped ourselves from a cart. . .

Thanks!
I was guessing that they provided towels, but the lack of daily maid service made me think there was a chance they did not. I'm glad I don't have to bring a bag of beach towels to OKW!

We never had to use a key card at any pool where we stayed. Even Stormalong Bay. But then again we stayed at BCV in January and it wasn't that crowded.
