I have been once at this time of year, Sept 28th for two weeks and found the weather & crowds to be much more bearable than when I went in August last year.

It got dark earlier, around 7pm but other than that it is just like a nicer British Summer.

found it plesant temp wise would say 70 to 80 ,it has to be 100 degres+for DW to put a toe in water. But ok for waterparks for the rest of us.Lines short only minus dark earler and parks close earler than in the summer

Not quite as humid as July & August, but still pretty hot and I would imagine you would still at times see temps. in the 90s.

Parks shouldn't be too bad, although I would still advise you get there early in the morning's - as generally it's the best time to get on the rides and also it's cooler too.

Overall it's a good time to go.

We went mid Sept last year and it was fantastic. We never once queued for longer than 5 minutes, had rain for about an hour the whole 18 days and it was hot - without being unbearable - with much lower humidity. For us, a perfect time to go.

We have only visited in the first week of September and I would recommend it. It's still very warm,80c+ but not too humid. The parks on weekdays are very quiet and there is hardly any queing involved, but still enough people to create a good atmosphere though. If you plan your holiday to avoid the major parks on Saturday and Sunday, you'll have hardly any wait times for anything.

The parks do close around 6 - 7pm but that's not a problem as you won't have had a problem doing all the rides. Magic Kingdom stays open till 9pm each night though, as does Epcot.

I think in all the times we have visited, we have lost 3 days to rain.

What we found strange and not expected though was it stays darker in the mornings for longer and gets darker earlier at night, more so than in England.

The best advice though is as Johnny says, get to the parks early, before the majority get there, do what you want to do, go back to your hotel pool for the hottest part of the day, then revisit in the later part of the day. Once you have paid to park once, you won't have to pay again.

If you think of it, it would do, it's so much closed to the Equator where you get almost equal day and night.

Yes, I realise now, but the first time we went it wasn't something that had crossed my mind until, with jetlag on the first morning I sat up from 3am and was waiting for it to get light, so I could go for a walk and it was nearly 8am when it started to lighten up...my body was telling me it was 1pm - if you are not expecting that, it can come as a surprise.

We went to WDW last september and it was perfect! it was still very hot but not humid, we did experience rain for about an hour on some days but trust me it isnt a problem. You can either go shopping or go for a bite to eat.

The crowds were perfect, enough to feel the disney buzz but not too many so you are standing around for rides for ages!

You will have a great holiday going any time of the year, though for me september / october are the best time to go!

we went end of sept/beginning of oct 2004 and shared the first three days of our holiday with hurricane jeanne....however once the hurricane had passed and everywhere had dried up we had rain maybe twice the whole time we were there...tempes in the 80's-90's every day and i think the longest we had to wait was about 20 mins for RnRCoaster and SpshMt

The US has a labor day (bank holiday) at the beginning of Sept so for that weekend it will be busy but then up until Columbus day in Oct very quiet. Parks close a bit earlier during the week. Weather wise it can be a bit hit & miss,we have had holidays where it has hardly rained & holidays where it has hardly Sunned! Obviously it is still Hurricane season so there is always that possibility but on the whole it is a great time to go-we always do. Towards the end into beginning of Oct the weather becomes a bit more settled with the added bonus of MNSSHP & HHN!

Gills's experience was also mine when I last visited in September :thumbsup2

That's great to hear. I'm going at the beginning of September this year so I was wondering what it was going to be like. I'm especially glad about the crowd situation, I hate queuing in the heat for too long. Very re-assuring
