Another “rest” day at TL, my favourite water park. EMH worked again today and we set up camp in the usual place, on the beach just by the Bay Slides. We were going to go and sit on the beach by Crush ‘n’ Gusher but why change a habit of the last 3 years!! Set up camp, got a locker and rushed to Crush ‘n’ Gusher, which Lucy and I had been on last year. Really missed Andy on this ride because you need someone heavier to make it go faster – so it felt as though we were just coasting down!
After doing all the other slides, missing out the Shark Reef because the water is so cold, we had a lie down whilst Lucy went off to do what she does best…..find some friends!! She certainly managed to find something but it wasn’t a friend…..it was a snake. She came running back from Typhoon Tilly’s, where she had been squirting water at people floating round on the lazy river (with Stitch), and she had stepped over a black snake which had then slithered into the lazy river!! This was the highlight of the day for Lucy! We ventured into the lazy river only once after this but didn’t dare dangle our feet in the water.
Left at 6pm full of burgers, fries and donoughts (!) and went back to CSR to have a lie down by our own private pool – quiet pool at 8b – now our most favourite spot and still free of Love-Bugs!!

Itinerary says Crazy Golf tonight at BB so we have our usual at the PM and head towards the bus stop…..20 minutes later, and now 9.45pm, no bus has arrived! We gave up and went back to the shop to spend more of Andy’s hard earned money.

Lucy and another friend in the shop!
It was a shame because the bus service had been fantastic up until that one! Even on the night coming back from Fantasmic there was hardly anyone on the bus. We never once had to stand or get up for someone, unlike last year at CBR, where the buses were packed to the rafters! We had just the one bus driver who was hysterical he kept flashing the lights on and off and humming the tune to ToT!! During the day the buses were deserted….one of the reasons why we are going back next year. Only 4 bus stops and at night they always stopped at the PM first so that you could grab something to eat if you wanted to.
It’s been a quiet day today because I think we are all flagging. Busy day planned for tomorrow – MK – the weather forecast had given 80% chance of showers. You really don’t believe it when today’s weather had been so beautiful 80 degrees, hardly any humidity and not a cloud in the sky….oh well, we will see what tomorrow brings!
Bed at 10.30pm. All that swimming must have made Lucy a very tired little girl…..
