Anyone try these?

Are they comfortable to wear all day?
Do I size down like with regular Crocs?
Anyone know of a cheaper source?
I know everyone loves crocs, but the other styles didn't appeal to me. These look cute but I'm not sure if they'd be as comfortable as everyone says the other Crocs are.
Thanks! :goodvibes

I've had a pair for three months and love them. I had a few doubts about paying 29.99 for flip flops. I recently tried the ones at Payless and had trouble with the toe bar. Just didn't seem as soft, but they look identical. I'm curious to see if anyone has seen the Athens on sale.

Me, my mom and my son all bought a pair at the Crocs Kiosk at MCO. My mom has really bad feet, but wouldn't wear the regular ones because she thought they were too ugly. We're all loving the flip flops!

I just got them and wear them ALL the TIME! I plan on getting more. I suggest these to anyone!

Have you seen the orange Airwalks that look like rugged sandals? I can't figure any way else to describe them. Tried them on in a larger size, because they didn't have my size. They felt awesome and weren't nearly as ugly...with the exception that they are bright orange!

I've been debating about the Crocs flip flops too. Are they comfortable enough to wear all day long walking miles in the parks??? I'm curious!

I'm curious too since this is the style that I find most appealing as well!

I love, love, love, love these shoes! I used to not wear to many flip flop style shoes because I couldn't walk around for very long at a time before my feet and my legs would start hurting me. Now with these, I will actually go to the mall in them or take a walk in them without any problems. I am just waiting to see if I can find them on sale/ clearance at the end of the season so I can get a couple more pair in different colors. :dogdance:
Like most other CROCS, I found that they run a little bit big. I normally wear a 9 or 9 1/2, but in the Athens, I had to get an 8.
Oh, I also tried the payless version of these and did not find them as comfortable. On the CROCS version you do not feel or notice the little line that runs between the two different colors, but with the payless ones you can feel this. It is almost like the color on the outside is raised up a little bit and you can feel a little "ridge" running around the shoe.

I bought a black pair (in a smaller size) a couple of weeks ago. They are very comfortable! I was a little apprehensive about buying a pair of $30.00 flip-flops too. They are now my favorite shoe. I have flat feet, so they feel comfortable in that respect too. I'm going to wear them when we go to the parks in a couple of weeks. I've had a couple of people compliment them...they are much cuter than the big crocs. I say try them, they were worth the money to me. :thumbsup2

Thank you for all the replies. I'm so glad they seem to be as comfy as the others. I think I'm going to get the white and turquoise ones. I normally wear a 9 1/2 and I don't have wide feet. I'm trying to decide if I should get an 8 or a 9.

I found the ugly orange style.
In black.
Bought 2 pairs.
1 for me, 1 for DS.
Most comfortable sandles I have ever wore.

I've got two pairs and mine seemed to run true to size. I normally wear an 8 so bought an 8 and they fit perfectly.
FYI: I find my Teva Mush flip flops more comfortable. I also bought a pair of Adidas Tureia flip flops that are more comfortable than the Crocs Athens too. I've worn all three pairs walking and will probably be taking the Teva Mush and Adidas Tureia to WDW instead of the Crocs.

I normally wear an 7 1/2 or an 8 but in the athens I bought the 7 and they fit perfect. I have high arches so my feet normally ache if I am on them for a while without arch support. I wore the athens for a day trip to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame and didn't have any arch pain. They were better than my sneakers. I too was worried about spending $30.00 on flip flops but they were the only crocs that appealled to me. I am very happy with my purchase and would reccommend them to anyone thinking about getting crocs.

Hi
I had a pair of the Athens flip flops, but took them back. I wish they would've fit better. The post between the toes on the left foot really bothered me, otherwise, they would have been real comfy. I ended up ordering the new croc scutes on their website. They're great. I'm thinking about getting another pair in brown. I bought the navy blue. I've been wearing them all day so they'll be the shoe I wear most for my August trip.

The Athens flip flops for me seemed comfy in the store, but I decided against them because my little toe kept falling off the outer edge and I have narrow feet...Not something I would want to deal with after spending $30 on the shoes! However, I have had great luck with my Crocs Niles sandals instead. I even sometimes forget I am wearing shoes when I have them on! :goodvibes

I have the Athens flip flops that I got at Dick's Sporting Goods for $29.00.
I love them! To me they are much more comfy than the Airwalk (Payless) version, and I swear by my Airwalk "Beach Style".
Also, I find for me the Airwalks from Payless seem to run a little bigger than the Crocs. Anyone else find this? I got an 8 in the Athens and I usually wear an 8-81/2. They fit me fine.
The only problem I had was that I had to file down the "seams" on the in-between-the toe-thingie with a stiff nail file. The seem bothered me a little at first, but now it is fine. I can wear them all day without a problem!

Do you find that the material that the Crocs are made of make your feet sweat?

I bought a pair of the Athens flip flops for myself and daughter. We both LOVE them. (Got them at Dicks - 29.00)
I have been wearing them alot and my feet do not sweat at all and it has been very hot and humid here in Pennsylvania.
I would recommend these to anyone. :cheer2:

Love my Croc flops (as I so lovingly refer to them as). I like them better than the regular clog looking Croc. I have those too, but it seems I was in between sizes in the clog style and the clog is really big, but the Croc flop I am a true size 7 and bought/wear a size 7 flop. They are very comfortable, I love them, but not the price $30. Can't find them on sale anywhere, bit the bullet and paid full price, but worth it!

No, my feet don't sweat, at least not in the athens.

I stopped in at Dick's this evening, mostly to size them since everyone has been saying they tend to run big. I wear a 10 or 11 depending on how the shoes are made, my Birks are 11, but the 10 in the Athens fit me great. I will probably end up ordering them online though....I had a very hard time finding even one pair in the store!!

I ordered my athens crocflops from www.shoemall.com.
$29,95 free shipping. THey cam ein 2 days. I ordered my shoe size and tho they are a little big...a smaller size would have been too short. (I think with flops, you want to have enough length so that you have a little protection both for your toes and heels.
I stepped on a nail last week and it went through the croc and then my foot...but saved me about 1/2 inch of nail IN my foot. Not sure how to 'heal' the hole in my croc tho!
Don't have any sweating, but that isn't usual in an open flip flop is it?
I'm wondering, for those who have regular Crocs and the flop..is there more padding on the sole of the regular?

I agree with this. I usually wear a 10-10 1/2 and bought both of my Athens in size 10. They look a little big, but the 9s just didn't fit quite right. The foot is supposed to fit into the cushion and not ride up the lip of the heel, which is what happened when I put on the smaller size. I kicked a wall corner the other day with them on and was glad to have a little buffer in front - I didn't get hurt and am pretty sure I would have with any other flip flops on. I  these sandals. They're like walking on marshmallows.

Love them! I have beach ones and the new athens. I will take both. I have learned to wear socks with the beach ones.

I love my athens! This coming from a person who has never EVER worn flip flops of any kind due to the thing in between the toes!! These aren't bad, I don't even notice the toe thing. I'm hoping to have them broken in enough by the time I go on vacation.
I do have 1 question though - I have the beach and the athens and when I wear them I don't think my feet sweat but for some reason after a few minutes of having them on, when I walk, they sqeak! It's really embarrassing! lol Anyone have any suggestions or a similar situation or is it just me? My SIL has no problems.
Any help would be great! Thanks!

I have the light blue flip flops and I LOVE them. I got them at MC Sports for $29.99. They also have them in all colors at our local Readmore Hallmark store. That totally shocked me that they would have them. I live in a town of 3,000 people and the mall 30 miles away doesn't even have the flip flops.
My DD8 REALLY wants a pair too, but I can't see spending $25.00 for flip flops for her, when she will only be able to year them one summer. But they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I rarely take them off.

I just bought a pair of the Athens crocs yesterday and I just love them! I have never found a pair of flip flops that don't kill me between my toes or that have straps that don't give me blisters. These seem so comfortable!! DBf is going to buy a pair for himself for our trip in August!

All the athens crocs I have seen are all priced at 29.99. Does anyone know where Crocs complete line is sold in the RI/SE Ma area. I would like to try on the Relief style.

I had been wearing my Athens around and about and thought they were great, but I took them to DL and after a day in the park my feet were killing me. I never had that problem with the Beach while at WDW. The Beach style has more support I think. JMHO
