I suspect that the free shipping available in the past was just a special promotion. I just went to the Staples website and tried to buy a case of $5.59 water. They were going to charge me $7.95 for shipping, for a total of $13.54. When I added a second case of water to my shopping cart, the shipping charge remained $7.95.

Well, this isn't what you asked but I just found out about Amazon.com. If you order $25 worth of groceries they have fee shipping. They have cases of h20, shelf milk, soda, and lots of snacks - it's pretty easy to spend $25 on things you will use. Hope it helps .

I think to be eligible for the free shipping, you must become a Staples rewards member.

::yes:: I did this...and it worked out perfectly. I ordered my water on staples.com (after I became a rewards member...also on line). For your first order, the shipping is automatically added...but you call the customer service #, and it is taken off of your bill. Easy. When I checked in...the water was waiting for us. (Make sure to indicate the resort name...address...as well as your name and confirm. # if possible. I also included the date we were checking in. I ordered on a Saturday...and it was scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. We arrived on Thursday. I would do this again in a heartbeat!

I did this a couple of weeks ago, also, and it worked great. When I signed up for the rewards programs, I received (via postal mail) a $5 coupon to be used on my first order ($5 off $5.)

The coupon expired fairly quickly (by the end of that month,) though, so if you're not planning your trip for a few months, that's something to take into consideration.

I also included my reservation number, and timed it so that the water arrived a business day, or so, before we arrived. It was waiting for me, and was later delivered to our room.... couldn't have been easier!!! :thumbsup2
