We checked out of the Wyndham Palace and into the Hard Rock Hotel. Wow! This hotel is cool! Our room was ready at 10:30am... we had a deluxe pool view. While I would hardly call it a pool view (we had a beautiful view of a tree by the pool!) the room was larger than I expected. It was perfect for our family of five.
We unpacked and walked to Universal, it took maybe 6-7 minutes to get there from our room via a beautiful walkway. The kids loved Universal... they even forgot about their LEGOs for the first half of the day!
We were able to get front of the line access and it was INCREDIBLE! I did feel guilty passing people who were waiting, but then I figured, hey, we are paying for this perk and we're going to use it!
*** Note... do not take your children to US or IOA BEFORE DISNEY if you are staying on property. My boys tolerated the waits at WDW, but if they had experienced the front of the line perk first, they would not have been so patient! So, if you are staying at HRH or Portifino, try to plan it before WDW.
