I searched and searched and couldn't find a thread for this cruise!
I am going with my fiance (by then will be husband- :cool1: , belated honeymoon!) and our very good friends, who are also disboard members!
Will anyone be there with us?

You are in for a treat with the CC gifts!
Have you gals ever been on a DCL cruise with DIS meet? I am going on the 11 day cruise in september and they do all of these really cool things like mickey ice cream bar eating contest, pajama breakfast, fish extender contest, pirate night group photo, group brunch in palo, the list goes on and on! They even have t-shirts made! If you are interested in doing something like this we have plenty of time to pull it together. They are also having meet and greets before the cruise at WDW or Port Canaveral area hotels. Search the meets for the September 17, 2006 11 day cruise meet and check out the 1st page, post 5 for the list of events that are going on.
If any are 1st time cruisers and have any ???'s please don't hesitate to ask. We know a little bit about DCL :lmao:

Hey guys! We too are planning on going on this cruise! I haven't been on in a while and was signed up on the other thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1080405
But, I thought it was weird that there were no posts all summer, so I did a search and voilah! I found you guys!
We are from Missouri. I'm pregnant and due in 4 weeks, so the baby will be 11 months when we go. The other 2 kids will be 5 and 7 when we go. We have 2 connecting cabins, and I'm thinking about surprising grandma with a ticket to join us. Maybe for christmas? I haven't looked into the pricing to add her, but if we already have the cabin, it shouldn't be too much, should it?

Good for you! I cancelled 5020 last month, decided to go with a Cat 8 instead. We'll be onboard with DH and two boys 7 and 8. I just checked the Cat 8 price and its $300 more than beginning of Sept so its good we all booked early. I think the fact the Magic is missing in action in FL all summer will boost demand for the first Sept cruise.

I would add her now as prices only go up. I believe you can remove her at no charge up to 90 days out but you would want to look into that. With the nature of cruises rising in cost but also refundable, I like locking in a rate and changing if I need to. That's not to say the deposit is insignificant......

Anyone have any meet ideas? :scratchin
Hmm. .. .we should definitely plan something!!
I like the idea of a meet for the Sailaway party. That way we can recognize all our fellow DISers for the rest of the week. It would be a shame to be walking by DISers for days without even knowing it!
We could also do a DIS meet for breakfast one day at sea, maybe even the Palo Breakfast.
I was looking around at other meet threads and I like the idea of a DIS Tag Game: Make a couple of Mickey shaped door magnets that will get passed around the ship. Each person who receives the magnet will sign it, then go "tag" another participant's cabin door. See how far it can get and how many signatures it ends up with, how many times it can make a few rounds.
I also like the idea of a Secret Mickey, kinda like Secret Santa, and we could plan a meet to exchange the presents!
What do y'all think?

Hello All!
Well it's official! We are cruising with you guys...just booked thru DU a couple of minutes ago...This is my third Disney cruise and I am addicted to all things Disney. However, this will be DD11's first cruise. She is sooo looking forward to this but for now, it seems pretty far away. Let's hope time flies quickly!
DD 15 will be staying home so it will be just me, DH and DD11. DD15 absolutely does not want to miss out on school and friends so I guess we will be spoiling youngest DD rotten. Now if I could just convince her to join the Oceaneer Lab..I guess being french speaking does not help.
In the meantime, gotta get me a new ticker!

Looks like we'll need to do some searches to find good eastern excursions for the kids, I'll post whatever I find out and you can do the same. :-)
I'd hold off on telling the kids til 3 months out, waiting can be agony for them! We've done 3 night and 4 night Disney cruises and its so much more fun that cruising another line with kids. Our opinion, at this age anyway. My kids loved the kids clubs and you'll love that there is a beeper to page you if they want out. My 6 year old will have just turned 7 two months before the cruise and feels quite comfortable going on his own. If your 5 year old needs a buddy we can pair them up for a meeting if you'd like. Our 8 year olds will be in the older kids club. What is really nice about the clubs is they rotate around so kids get to go to "older" kids clubs for a visit. My kids loved the Oceaneer's Club but it was neat for them to go the the Oceaneer's Lab sometimes too. The older kids aren't there at the time, they are bumped up to the next age group. I guess the oldest group is bumped onto the sports deck or something. My kids were together in the 5-7 group this time so being seperated will be different for me but I don't think they will care, they did their own thing there anyway. This shows the age groupings. fyi

Well, I'm on maternity leave now. Had the baby Oct 16. WE named her Sienna. Now to get her info to DU for the cruise! Ha ha. WE booked her for a cruise before she was even born! Isn't that funny? ha ha! Yeah, we booked 2 cat 8's the day they opened up. I thought that cruising over Labor DAy weekend would have the other 2 kids missing the least amount of school. I'm still contemplating adding grandma, but not sure. We'll see.

I'm thinking about the Golden Eagle and Doubloon Sail excursions. I really want to book excursions for each day in St Maarten and St Thomas and take it easy on CC. But some say stingray thing is a must for kids. We'll see. I may hit CC again on a Western but may never get back to Maarten/Thomas so want to make excursions there priority.

Hi! We are currently scheduled to go on the Eastern in November but are thinking about moving it to September 1, 2007. If we change the date it will only be DH and I. We've been on two DCL cruises and they were both 4-day member cruises. We decided we wanted to go for a longer period of time and several DISfriends recommended the 7-night Eastern. Will post again soon if we change our date. Annmarie

Unfortunately, my fiance and I will have to cancel this cruise. Despite the fact that we told them about it, very good friends of ours booked their wedding for that same week. My fiance will be in the wedding party, so it is not something we can really skip out on.
No real plans to rebook just yet. But hopefully in the future. I am dying to go on a Disney Cruise.
Have lots of fun for us.

Good to see this thread is still alive. I haven't been around this board lately since I've been planning our WDW trip which is requiring more of my attention than the cruise.
Anyway, looks like we have just a few more months to go. Is everyone as excited as I am?:yay:

We just booked for this cruise! This will be our second cruise - our first was this April 2006 and I could have taken a 4 day in March but instead choose to do a 7 day in September!
It will be me, DH (who is in Iraq but will be home for the cruise!) DD 11 and DS 9. They loved the kids club last time and are looking forward to going back which means more time for me and hubby after so much time apart without feeling like we are neglecting the kids!!!
I am so excited - looking forward to seeing everyone there!

2006 was an expensive year for us....built a new house & during contract phase got pregnant! Unfortunately, we still have furniture and things to buy for this new house which have essentially made the trip unaffordable this year. :( Not to mention the cost a new child brings.
I hadn't cancelled yet though, just hoping. But, today I got a mailer from Disney about the West Coast Cruises in Summer 08. Yeah! I had originally wanted a west coast cruise in 07, but as you all know, Disney went Euro, so I booked the Eastern. Now, I can wait to go on the cruise I originally wanted! Not that I don't want a Disney Cruise this year. I do, so it makes me sad, but this way, I'll get the cruise I wanted in the first place. We've actually been to St. Thomas and St. Maarten before anyway (pre kids), so I guess I won't feel soo bad.
Anyway, West coast cruise bookings open up Jan 31, so I'll probably move my booking then. If anyone is interested, connecting rooms 6016 and 6018 will become available on this cruise around that time.
Have fun guys!

Hi everyone! We're officially changing our sail date from October 13th to September 1st. My kids' school is having construction done within the district and they are postponing our start date by a week or so. So - its better for us to go earlier rather than pull everyone out just a few weeks after getting into the groove. YAY!!
I'm Cris and will be traveling with DH and our three kids - boy/girl twins who will be three weeks shy of being 7 and a 5 1/2 year old son. We are SUPER-EXCITED! I am really excited to be on the first sailing after Europe. My kids are already looking forward to the Oceaneer's Club and Mom and Dad are REALLY looking forward to some R&R after a rough couple of years with little kids. hee heee!!
I look forward to 'meeting' you all.

So glad to hear from you! My mind has been kind of spinning from all this- in a good way, of course;) I bought the Birnbaum and Passporter books. I'm a strong believer that sometimes too much info is NOT a good thing!!!:rotfl:
My daughter turns 7 in April, so our kids aren't far apart in age at all! I'm anxious to get out of this cold snap we're having here (we're in MD.) Thanks for responding. I'm sure we'll talk soon!

I haven't gotten either of the books yet. Are they worth the money? I really love the Disney World books but the one cruise one I saw (I think it was Birnbaums) seemed thin and kind of had the same info. that you find on the boards. I don't know - what do you think?
We're in NJ so I hear you on the cold thing! If only it would snow! My kids are convinced that since the groundhog didn't see his shadow, spring starts next week and then it'll be summer and then the cruise will come! Kindergarteners don't have a good grasp of time. hee heeee

Don't bother w/ Birnbaums... the PassPorter's is pretty good though. It has a ton of information, but I've found I've learned a lot from reading TR's/postings here and on cruisecritic.com. I'm still trying to figure out what to do in St. John/St. Thomas. I keep finding mixed reviews.... have you looked into any of the excursions yet? Big Ray (DH-- Our 12 yr.old. is Ray, too...) has been giving me a hard time (ajokingly, of course!) about all the time I'm spending looking on-line, reading, and then changing my mind depending on the day :goodvibes I am just SOOO excited! I actually just picked up rolling Pilots bags for the kids to use for their carry on's today. Wait 'til they find out those are really for my shoes they'll be responsible for carrying!!! What airline are you guys on? We're coming in the day before so we don't feel rushed. What about you guys?

We'll be on with two boys ages 7 and 8. (Newly 7 and almost 9.) Anyway, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the kids club groups age 5-7 together. Just thought you might like that your kids would be all together. I was happy mine were last cruise but they felt very comfortable and made friends quickly so I think its fine they will be in different groups this time. Looking forward to our first 7 night cruise!

You are too funny about the shoes! I have to get a roller for my daughter. Her current one is a hand-me-down with Arthur on it and she informed me she is NEVER using it again! heee heee I am very, very determined not to overpack (this will be our 4th cruise - 1st DCL - and for the last 3 as well as our last DW trip I overpacked majorly!)
We're not 100% on flying down there yet. Most likely we will fly Jet Blue (they're not booking past September 4th right now - I check daily!) Their typical rates Newark to Orlando are $99. We are going to go down a couple of days early and do at least the Magic Kingdom. The last time we went to DW was almost two years ago and the kids are dying to go again. I want to fly down on Wednesday afternoon and do Thursday/Friday at the parks and then drive/car service to port early Saturday morning. DH only wants to do one day in the parks because God forbid he not be in the office an extra day (don't get me started). We have to figure out the logistics of where to stay (on or off site), transfers to and from port, into the park, etc. If Jet Blue would just get their September dates up........
I'm also on a weight-loss train. I am determined to be comfortable in a bathing suit for the cruise (not to mention the entire summer leading up to it!) I keep coming to these boards to motivate myself when I am craving the ice cream cake in the freezer!

Ok... WIERD.... I am SOOOOO on the weight-loss train with you!!!! Although I'm not stressing too much, (you know that "You're not the worst one I've ever seen" story- my biggest fear is BEING that worst one!!) I would still love to be in better shape that I am now. That being said, my intentions are to completely throw down that entire week and not care about a thing. Little side note.... I started dating Big Ray when I was 15. He has seen me at my absolute heaviest, my absolute lightest, and everything inbetween. He hasn't left yet, so I figure I;m as good as gold:lmao: Anyway... we are headed in to MCO 8/31. Don't discount any of the other airlines, though. My Travel Agent got our seats back in Dec. and they are only $10 more than Southwest. I went ahead & pd for the peace of mind.... just a thought.
So.... ummmm... you never answered my ? about the shore excursions.... I promise not to stalk you!! :rotfl2: Glad to hear you're somewhat of a "Cruise Veteran." We've never been on a cruise at all, so I'll probably be bugging you w/ questions. Tell me if it gets to be too much!

Don't worry about bugging me! I don't mind at all!!!!
I too will be enjoying myself very thoroughly on the cruise. I plan in eating and DRINKING anything that pleases me! hee heee
Shore excursions - I've only briefly reviewed them but from I've been to all the ports on previous cruises. We probably won't do too much since my kids are afraid of their own shadows (even of our cat, who's been around before them!) so anything with wildlife is out!
St. Thomas - LOVE Magen's Bay. It is a gorgeous beach, very calm waters (I guess it really is a bay?) and beautiful all around. When we first went there it was our honeymoon and we did a bike tour that ended there. It was mid-August and about 140% humidity and 104 degrees and I just couldn't handle the ride! I was thrilled when it was over and we could just veg out at Magen's Bay. My guess is we may take a bus/cab over there again and hang out. My kids do like the beach very much. There's a lot of shadey areas.
St. John - LOVE Trunk Bay Beach. This is more beachy, in my opinion, although the water is still very bay-like to me (I'm a NJ gal meaning Jersey Shore and rough waves are the norm for me!) We did this with our kids on our last cruise (almost 5 years ago). There is about no shade here but the views are magnificent. I have lots of pictures of birds and lizards, although my kids were by none of them! We did that cruise with my entire family (parents, sister and her family) so all the kids, I'm sure, were either in Grampa's arms or in the gift shop with Gramma!!!!
St. Maarten - we did the Regatta there. Again, on our honeymoon and it was pretty hard work. Everyone gets a job. Mine was: Drink Gal. Yes, I passed out drinks to those doing the real work of making the yacht go! It was an amazing ride and really a great adventure. If you do this, sleep well and hydrate very well the night before! This is offered on DCL and the bike ride is here too.
I am really, really looking forward to Castaway Cay. I would love to do a Dolphin Encounter somewhere but I truly think my kids may stroke out if we do! I'll have to work them up to something this summer- at least a sting ray thing at Castaway Cay! I guess its not a bad thing that we're not into the whole adventure-vacation age yet, especially since I spent the kids' college funds to go on the cruise!!!
Oh - there's a new thread for our cruise. Guess I should go find that one too! hee heee

She will be 12 on the cruise and will be in the lab - from my understanding they are tougher on the age thing with the stack because of the older teens. We are going to give her sign out abilities on this cruise most likely - so she can be a little independent. We are still having reservations about the WB Repo when she will be 13 but just barely :)

I haven't planned what night/day we're making reservations for Palo but as for excursions, I've already booked a private sail for when we're in St. Thomas. I booked with Rumbaba. Heard a lot of great things about them on another cruise discussion board. Not too sure what we'll be doing in St. Marteen other then shopping. Once we're on Castayway Cay, we'll probably just be beach bums, maybe do the banana boat ride.

Y'know Disney - something for everyone! On the ship it is just a pirate party but at MK - there just has to be an opportunity for girls to dress up too. And yes, Elizabeth and I will be arguing over who gets to wear the tiara!!!!!

Wow, congrats, that is like a lottery! I've gotten SPH rooms but booked when came available WAY in advance. I had 5020 for this cruise...... or was it 5022, I forget, but then sailing Wonder Sept 06 it was a little cheaper to book Cat 8 with the rebooking deal so I did that. (Smarter people would have figured a way around the new booking only deal and got the rebooking discount on the Cat 10 SPH ........). Anyway, I have 7 and 8 yr old boys so our youngest should be in same kids club. I like the idea of mine together but their ages have them in different clubs this year. Its our first 7 nighter as well, after doing one 3 and one 4 night on Wonder. I'm hoping we do well with it, I've bought every anti-nausia product available as I worry about higher seas on Magic vs Wonder. If we like 7 nights, we have Tgiving 2008 booked.
I booked morning Doubloon snorkel, anyone here doing that?

I'm hoping we do well with it, I've bought every anti-nausia product available as I worry about higher seas on Magic vs Wonder. If we like 7 nights, we have Tgiving 2008 booked.
I booked morning Doubloon snorkel, anyone here doing that?
Hi there! Ok, so what anti-nausea product did you get for the kids? I'm wondering what's available for them.:confused3
We were on the Wonder 4 night last Sept. 3-7. Where you on this sailing, too?
Hopefully my Dd's will want to try the clubs this year. Each year they go for a very short time, and then that's it. They never go back!:sad2:

Yep, we were there. Judging from teacups and such, its much more of a mom problem than a kid problem at our house, sea sickness that is. I loaded up on things from drugstore dot com and bought ginger pills somewhere, may look for ginger chews for kids at some point.
Relief band - pricy, for me but wouldn't harm kid if needed
Little Tummys Nausea Relief with Natural Ginger Extract
Bonine For Children, Motion Sickness Tablets, Berry Berry
Sea-Band The Original Wristband, Children, One Size
Also had doc write prescript for ScoPace pills. If needed I will take 1/2 pill, none of those for kids.

You're welcome. I'll give you some more info about the Relief band in case you are interested. I was hopeful but somewhat skeptical but figured it couldn't hurt to get it, $90 from drugstore dot come, free shipping. Figured if it worked, I'd have it for the rest of my cruises and if it didn't, they are selling for around $60 on ebay used. (save $30 buying the version for morning sickness, same product, slightly different instruction book). Anyway, still really can't say how it would work on a cruise but I did a theme park road test. I don't think it was mental, that I "believed" it would work so it did, I really didn't think it would work on theme park rides. I road the "Storm" at Islands of Adventure (very much like teacups) and hoped it would "help". I rode three times in a row with the kids and felt fine. So, I'm pretty sure that, for me, it will work on rough seas if we should have them.
I've had luck with dramamine riding the Hulk and doing Spiderman rides but the Dueling Dragons (lots of loops) has always left me naustious and needing an hour rest even with dramamine. So, I HAD to test the relief band on DD. I felt a touch on nausia on the last two twists that stuck around for 10 minutes or so afterwards. Thats a hugely successful test for me. Your milage may vary.

OK, let's cross everything for sunny skies and calm seas! I'm a little worried about weather that time of year. The boys will be 7 and 8 (almost nine). Not sure how into snorkeling they will be but maybe if the seas are calm they will try. If they breath in salt water at any point they'll likely hang on the boat with dad.

Hmm. .. .we should definitely plan something!!
What do y'all think?
I love this idea
Hi Everyone! I just booked this cruise! YAY! Even better, we scored a SPH stateroom! I feel like I hit the DCL lottery!haha! Are any of our SPH neighbors on this thread? It'll be me, DH, DD10 and DD7. Can't wait! This will be our 4th Dis cruise (did the 3 & 4 night), but our 1st 7 night! I'm too excited!

Oh, such a great age to have a girl on a DCL cruise, I wanted to adopt one that age just for the experience! I have rowdy boys but love seeing the little girls decked out and waiting for princesses to get pics with. My boys loved the shows at that age but now, 7 & 8, want to be in kids club playing with friends instead of going to the shows. You are going to love it! Unless having both sets of grandparents drags you down! Its nice to leave them with the pager while you are at Palos in case kid wants out of or doesn't want to go to kids club but going on 3 day with my inlaws was a little much as they just followed us around saying they wanted to do WHATEVER we were doing.............

We're staying at AKL villas (my favorite hotel, btw.) after wards for 4 days (so I can celebrate my Bday with the mouse on 09/11 :woohoo: ). We've already started packing and getting ready - only one month left!!!!

To tell you the truth, Bill - I'm not sure! My TA took care of everything. We originally wanted a suite but they had just sold out (Melinda!) He suggested the connecting rooms as it still gives us 2 bathrooms, a little extra living space and a little privacy between all five of us (one of my sons needs his own space in order to settle down.) My children are still too young to be in a totally separate room (as in without the connecting door). As for the balconies - no idea! I told him what I wanted - he did it! We formally booked in early February, 2007. We got a good deal so I'm guessing there was still alot of opportunity for the connectors at that point.
I love my TA!

We got upgraded too:banana: from a 12 to a 10. I really wasn't expecting to be upgraded since it will just be my DH and me this time. He will be turning the big 40 tomorrow :bday: so we are celebrating by taking a cruise sans the kids.
We also got to change our flights today so that we don't have to fly out early Sat morning and it only cost me $10 more dollars for the flight. But I'm in the hole $150 for the hotel room.:rotfl2: But that's not bad considering that we will get a good nights sleep and will be able to enjoy the first day. Hope everybody else got some pixie dust too pixiedust: See ya onboard.

We got our cabin assignment on Tuesday, we booked a Category 6 verandah and got bumped up a deck basically, but also found out our verandah is solid metal rather than the see thru plexiglass. I'm kinda bummed because I was hoping our little one would be able to play out on the verandah and see thru to the ocean, but what are you gonna do, right?? I'm sure he won't care either way. And before everyone tells me that I should have booked a specific room number.. I would have but it was only guarantees left when I booked.
We'll be happy regardless.. we're on a cruise and we're celebrating our son's 1st birthday, what could be better?

We finally told all the girls about the WDW portion of the trip (we were keeping that part a secret as long as we could)!!! DD16 has come to the realization that "we are spoiled" ... her exact words after I told them we were also doing five nights in WDW along with the 7 night Eastern Caribbean Cruise!!! Hey, at least she knows it and is not afraid to admit it!!! :thumbsup2 AND I can now add it to my countdown!!! We have also decided to book the five night cruise for 9/1/08 and do Atlantis on the Nassau day!!! YEAH, YEAH YEAH!!!

Hi fellow cruisers!
I am on the 9/15 Eastern, and wonder if I could ask a favor from one of you. We are trying to plan a time for Palo, so I need to get DD9 to commit to going to the lab, but she is picky about what activities she will participate in.
Would it be possible for one of you to bring home a set of Navigators, and either fax them to me when you get back, or scan them in and email them to me? If so, can you PM me?
Plus I know my fellow 9/15 cruisers would love to see them ahead of time too. The most recent ones I can find online are from February of 2007.
Thanks!

We are traveling under 2 reservations and we have received the docs for one reservation, but not the other. We contacted reservations yesterday, and they told us the other stateroom number, :thumbsup2 and that the second set of docs should arrive today. (Got the first set on Saturday).
I am also having trouble getting anything done at work - how can they expect us to accomplish anything with this wonderful trip coming closer and closer???:confused3 Plus, I have to check the tropical weather sites every 10 minutes...

My TA called me today and told me that my docs finally arrived. I am glad they're here but told him I wasn't going to start panicking until the weekend (if they didn't show up.) He told me that he's been calling Disney for over a week and they kept telling him, "They're coming, they're coming." and he was getting panicky as 11 days prior is not his experience with DCL (and he has lots!) One rep he spoke to over the weekend told him that things are moving slower for this sail date but be patient as everything would get to guests in time. He and I could only deduce that it meant a heightened security issue and they're being extra-thorough. A good thing, I'm thinking.

I have a feeling that parasailing operations are being carefully examined
:
http://www1.wsvn.com/news/articles/local/MI58755/
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a parasailing accident in Pompano Beach that killed one teenager girl and injured her sister.
Hospital officials say 17-year-old Crystal White has been discharged in good condition. Her sister, 15-year-old Amber White, died last night.
The two were vacationing in the area over the weekend from Ocala. The Broward Sheriff's Office says gusty winds forced the parachute's tow line to snap, sending the girls to the roof of a two-story villa and through several trees.
The National Weather Service issued a warning of thunderstorms and high winds in the area before the girls went on their parasailing adventure.
BSO says reckless boating, equipment failure and bad weather contributed to the accident.

Since we just booked this cruise a month ago and I am new to this thread, would anyone like to share a little more about themselves. Kinda like a little mini meet online.
My name is Tonya and I will be traveling with my DH Bill. We have to DD's 9 and 6. They will be staying home this time. They are not to upset by this as they know mommy will buy them more stuff because she feels guilty for leaving them.:guilty: I am a SAHM and my DH is a chemical engineer. We have late dining (you may be eating with us) and we are sleeping on deck 2 but you will find us at the adult pool all other times. :cool2:
I will have a discreet lime green ribbon tied to my backpack so if you see me come up and say Hi! :wave2: I consider myself a shy person so I probably wouldn't have the nerve to go up to you.

Hi, we’re just back and this was the best of the 3 we've been on. The food was terrific. We noticed an improvement in food in all areas. Our Serving team was also excellent, thanks to Sabucci from Hungary and Michael from the Philippines. Room steward was perfect - Efficient and friendly but unobtrusive. We enjoyed Palo for Tea, Brunch, and Dinner - Each time was really fantastic. Too bad for those cruising in the near future because our wonderful Server Ciao Romano is leaving tomorrow for the Philippines for two months vacation. Our 3 year old DS was with us so we can't comment on any Nightlife, but I did see Dreams and it was really great.
I'll post photos of Food on the food photo board in the next day or two and will try to get Navigators scanned soon also.
I believe the shows were the same as before the Med cruises. The only remnants of the Med cruises was the merchandise at 75% off (Woo Hoo!) and a few weird condiments.
We had a private guide in St. Martin No Rush tours. This was perfect for us because we saw the whole island and learned much from the very knowledgeable guide, Beau. Perfect for folks like us with younger kids.
Went to Coral world on a Disney excursion. Our son had fun and got a big kick out of the huge iguanas roaming around. The drive back to the ship was not for the faint of heart  We also rode the Tram which was cool even though it was Hot.
Castaway Cay was fantastic. Saw a lot of fish but also a few jellyfish. I found a huge starfish. The snorkeling area seemed to be a lot bigger than remembered, and it let me get to crystal clear water away from the beach.
Best cruise yet!!!
