Wed 7 June High of 93
Up today at 6:15 we had breakfast, showered and dressed and we were all at the hotel doors waiting for the shuttle bus by 9am. We arrived at Seaworld and we went in a clockwise direction around the park starting with the stingray lagoon. We went to dolphin cove but since being at Discovery cove, feeding the dolphins a few fish doesn’t seem as much fun! Seen the manatees, alligators, turtles and dolphin nursery (aww).

The first show we went to see was Believe. We had been told so many good things about this show so we thought we were in for a treat. The show was good, but we felt firstly it was over too quick, we felt as though we were just getting into it and then it was finished. Secondly, we felt that it was too much about the trainer and not enough about Shamu (who seemed smaller than the Shamu we seen in 2000…hmmm). This is just our opinion though and do remember we all like different things.

After that show we made our way over to the Seaport theatre to watch the Pets Ahoy show. This show was brilliant; how they trained all those animals I’ll never know! We decided to have lunch after the show and we picked Voyagers wood fired pizzas as it was nearest to us! DH and DS had grilled chicken and chips (oops fries!) I had the pizza and fries (total $33) although after getting the food I saw someone with some pasta that I didn’t see and looked really tasty. DS also got some chocolate chip cookies for dessert and DH and I shared a slice of chocolate cherry cake (yummy!).

Next attraction for us was Shark encounter and then the penguins after that it was time for Blue Horizons dolphin show. Last time we were here they were refurbishing the dolphin arena so we didn’t get to see this show. The show was fantastic, in my opinion it was the best show Seaworld has!! I found it more entertaining than Believe.

Next we had to head over to the Bayside stadium for ‘Fusion’, a celebration of surf, sand and sky. Typical for us, we lost our bearings but arrived at the show with a few seconds to spare! We really enjoyed this show, it was packed with entertainment there was plenty to see.

Our last stop of the day was the Wild Artic, the polar bears were sleeping, do they ever do anything else?

We left the park and went back to hotel for ‘chill out’ before dinner.

Dinner was at Race Rock tonight. This is all done out with racecars, bikes etc. They even have car parts as stools! DH had a hot dog and fries, I had bolognaise and DS had cheese and bacon burger and fries. It was quite busy and took a while to get served; our server seemed to be working quite a few tables so he was run off his feet!

The portions were huge! We made a mistake by having had something at lunchtime so none of us were able to finish our meal. We would like to have tried this place on an empty stomach!

Back to hotel fit to burst and vegged out.
