We still haven't received ours, and it seems like a lot of people from Jersey have. Do you think they are sending them out in any particular order? When did you join? We became members in Nov 99 and have yet to make our first trip home. Only 22 more days.

We received ours today. We joined the club in May of this year and just completed our first trip home two days ago.

We joined in May 1998 and received our pins here in NJ last Saturday, but a colleague of mine who also lives in NJ just received hers yesterday and she joined around the same time. If there is a system to this mailing, I sure as heck haven't figured it out.

We received ours last week as well. I don't think it is when they send them out that is the problem. We do several nation wide mailings, and I can tell you the problem is your local mail delivery station.

Just when I thought our pins may have been stuck in the Trenton post office with the rest of our mail, they actually arrived yesterday! It's amazing... I never expected to receive them. We just joined in April 2001 and our first trip home (VWL) is in 11 days! :)

We got our pins last week, joined in April 9f 2000. I was wearing one of the pins at DSs soccer game yesterday, and when my sister saw it, she went nuts. So I gave it to her. she teaches second grade, I think those little ones will love it. And I still have the other one, which I'll wear with a lot of pride....

NJDVCmember.

The pins are (<i>were</i>) a very kind gesture on the part of DVC to its members. They were pins in the shape of Mickey, colored with the Stars and Stripes, with the September 11th date engraved on the back side.

We joined in April, 1997, and live about 1 hour from WDW. I have a couple of friends who live only miles from me who have had their books for weeks, and their pins for a week or so.

So I don't think they're being sent according to membership date, and I don't think it's the fault of my local post office - I JUST THINK DVC DOESN'T LOVE ME ANYMORE!!!!

And, I was informed by a very reliable source that the distribution of the pins was stopped - maybe around the end of last week? - due to complaints of "inappropriateness" from members. I am VERY disappointed, and wish they would continue to send them to members who don't take offense from the pins...

..... watching the mailbox in Fla....

The pins everyone is referring to are the Mickey Mouse "Flag" U.S.A. pins. (You know... in EPCOT there are Mickey pins with many of the contries flags on them). They were sent out after the 9/11/01 terrorist attack.

We received ours last week (before they closed the Trenton post office). Our last name begins with B... maybe the list is alphabetized??? don't know! But, we'll be there in 5 days wearing our partiotic pins :-)

I joined May 2001...got my pins last week.

You know...you might contact Disney if you haven't gotten them & say you want them. I can't imagine how they could stop distribution when it seems so many people have received them.

The question I have is ....what WL pin?

We got ours on 10/22 . We joined DVC in 1995, and our last name begins with a "B". To DVC: ignore the naysayers and send everyone their pins. They are not in poor taste. We need to remember 9/11 for the tragedy and for the unity it brought us all . Disney is very American. Mickey has always been a very loving and a very patriotic figure in our culture. I felt the sentiment expressed with the quote from Walt Disney was something we all need now. I was surprised that a big corporation used its resources to do something so emotional in such a short time. Good job DVC.

I called members services and asked about not receiving mine and they said there was only a limited amount and they were only sent to a few... Guess I'm not "a lucky few"

What a sad statement that even an American flag themed pin shaped like Mickey can't be made in the USA. Does it bother anyone else to have almost all of the merchandise at Disney foreign made? We love our DVC membership but would gladly pay extra for goods made in this country to support USA companies who employ USA workers.

I'm very happy to report that we received ours today, here in Nutley, NJ. Last name..R. We love them. My husband put his right on his Fantasmic hat with the Fantasmic pins.

I hope every DVC member gets them. I think it would be terrible to only send them to a "select few," especially since all the DVCers here on the DIS know about them. I was feeling pretty bummed when we hadn't received ours, and then people started saying they stopped sending them. I'm totally missing the point of what people were complaining about. Disney is Americana itself. Why shouldn't they be able to send out a patriotic pin? If you don't want it, send it back!

And, I think they should offer them for sale at the resorts, as well. Isn't there another pin that is for DVC members only where you have to show your ID card. They can do the same because I have read that families are having a hard time deciding which "two" should get the pins.

BTW, what is the other pin that is just for DVC? I would like to pick one up when we are down there in 20 days. Where would I get it?

We just got our pins today here in Ohio, so if you haven't received yours, they are still mailing them and they are probably on thier way.

They are beautiful with a wonderful message. Nicely done, DVC.

We just returned from Disney for a week. Wow, what a trip! We got into the pin collecting and near the end of our trip, we were searching everywhere for the Mickey Flag pin. No such luck. Well, when we got home, what did we find in the mail.....the mickey flag pin. I let out an excited yell. What a nice surprise. On our first trip that involved collecting pins, I came home with 10! Isn't it exciting walking up to a cast member and trading them?! It was a Disney rush!!!
