Questions re:$50 giftcard in Chicago area with wdw tickets

Greetings from Arkansas....
I just read the post about the gift card promotion with great excitement.
and i have a few questions??? My DH is traveling to chicago on business
on 11/5 and if i can find a disney store close I'll get him to buy tickets...
1.Does anyone know specfically what passes are included-park hoppers and/or park hopper PLUS's?? and how many days each??

We have Ap's for our kids but my DH and mine expire just b4 our trip in 12/01.
2. do u think that when I get to WDW that I can exchange them for AP's?? and pay the difference?? then we could take advantage of the gift card...

I found a store that is near where my DH is staying in downtown-actually about 8 blocks away. I talked to a cast member who read the regulations on the gift card promo and is going to order AP's for me and give me the $50 gift card..... Yahoo !!! I won't have to worry about trying to excahnge passes to AP's at WDW. I only hope that they are in when he is going to Chicago in 2 weeks...
