Delta actually called me to tell me changes BUT...

I already knew this about 2 weeks ago and called them to make sure I was put on a good flight going down (it was canceled)....the flight coming home was just moved to later in the afternoon.

They called to tell me these exact changes and I just went along with it. She also said she'd send me a new itinerary and recipt. She was VERY nice.

She said I was very lucky to get such minor changes and still non-stop as the flights went down 50%. I think my luck is that I called ASAP (two weeks ago) when I knew my flight down was canceled and TOLD them I'd like the flight that's an hour earlier than my canceled flight was. I'm so glad I didn't wait for them to tell me or that earlier flight would have been booked by now!

So I guess everyone with changes will be getting calls soon.:)

I got a similar call a couple of months before my trip (last week). Delta called to tell me about a slight change in the departure time of my returning flight. While I was on the phone, I confirmed the time of my departing flight, and that had already been changed too, and nobody had called me!

The other funny thing about this call...There were 5 of us flying - I had purchased 2 tix, and DM had purchased 3. After I got the call from Delta, I called DM to tell her to expect a similar call. She never got one! But - when we got home, there was a message on her answering machine about the changes (good timing - huh?)

Go figure!
