I have never booked a car online before. Is $213.79 for an intermediate 11/16-11/24 a good deal? The base rate is $201.33 less discounts (coupon and internet) $39.54 PLUS taxes = $213.79. I have reserved it, but would change to something else in a hearbeat if I could find anything less. I did join up to be en Emeral Club member if that makes any difference.
TIA

I think National rates are up right now.
I got $179 total for 10 days Full size Emerald Club. I used a $20 coupon and the Disney Club discount. From November 20 through December 9.
I'd shop around if I were you. Or maybe it's because you are going around Thanksgiving??

It's not a bad rate, but it is not a great rate either. Right now I have 11 days with taxes 11/21-12/02 for $206. Keep in mind, it's been months of checking!!!!

I have a rate of $179 for 6 days, 12/2-12/8. I have a Capitol One discount, could not use the free day because I don't have a Sat. night:(
BeattyFamily: Would you mind telling where the $20 coupon is from?

I don't know how she did it but my wife got a compact from National for 7 days (11-17 to 11-24) somewhere in the 90 dollar range. She booked this about 2 months ago. We thought about getting a bigger car, but for the miles we will use it for, a compact will be fine

Well, I can tell you that a luxury car at the end of December is $550 for 8 days with the Disney Club Discount with the Emerald Choice.

I booked 2 months ago--I've been checking every week since--we got a full-size 11/17-11/24 (8 days) for $135.36 (after DC discount and $20.00 off coupon from UA) I am glad I booked it when I did--seems like the prices have gone way up! My husband doesn't know how I did it!:D

Just booked an intermediate for 3/17 to 3/23 for $147 plus taxes and fee with National - no discounts Be sure to check without discounts. I have found that sometimes the rates with coupons are higher that without - go figure.

first of all, welcome to The DIS! Secondly, I don't or haven't seen the above special. Maybe I'm blind?

Gosh, I'd be tempted to try Dollar. They are located in MCO. I just got a minivan for 12/1-12/8/01 for $209/wk (plus tax, of course)w/unlimited milage using the code "fvg". Also try codes "globe" and "kiss" and "mag". Don't know yet when my flight will arrive so am not willing to risk Emerald Aisle for a minivan (party of 6) at an intermediate price. I'd check around and see if you can get a better price.
