Are you refering to the waterpark? I think it is boggled down in court??? I know home owners in the area were protesting where SW was planning on building it. Haven't seen anything in the news lately.

I was there about a month ago and there appears to be construction starting on the site, there's a fence in the area and dirt being moved around. As far as the neighbors protesting , they might be but construction is still going forward, although I heard the opening date has been pushed back a year, 2008 or 2009, not sure!!! Sure hope my platinum pass gets me in this here park!!!

The water park is on its way, the court battle was short. Sea World owns the land and they can do what they want with it...lol...

Rumor from Screamscape is that they have trademarked the name "Aquatica." :confused3 Doesn't do much for me, but maybe that's why I'm not in marketing.
I actually have an excellent view of the construction site from my office. All the land is clear and they are building a "dirt wall" (I'm not in construction either) along the north side. Lots of pipe stacked around, bulldozers constantly going, also a skeletal metal tower.
The site is huge, goes for a block north of Sea Harbor Drive. I imagine some of it will be used for parking, but it still seems bigger than Wet n Wild.

we got a good look at the site from the SW skytower a few days ago. like Jason71 said, it's a big site. after the parking and infrastructure is included we'll see how big it actually turns out to be.
we're looking forward to it's completion.
