We were driving along this morning on our way to Grammy's house and suddenly my 4 year old starts screaming "Mommy" from the car seat. My first reaction was "Son we don't scream in the car." "But Mommy it's Doc. Doc Hudson." Sure enough there was a rollback beside of us with a blue Hudson Hornet on the back. :rotfl: You would have thought from the excitement in his voice, that Doc Hudson was in the back seat talking to him.

My DH pointed out a black porsche to DD6 and I last night & said, 'Look, it's just like Sally." To which DD says, "Daddy, Sally's blue! That (pointing to a light blue mini van looks like Sally!" :rotfl: DD gets her sense of vehicles from me! It's all in the color!

We own a "Doc Hudson". Ours even has the original racing engine in it!

Tow Mater is living incognito in the hills of North Carolina, parked outside my Uncle Ray's house. Guess the media got to him! :rotfl:

We live in Springfield, IL which contains the original Route 66.
The man and the VW van that inspired "Fillmore" live here. There was a great article in our local newspaper about them. The man is a vegan and refused to let them name the character after him since the toys would be sold in McDonald's happy meals. Thus, Waldmire became Fillmore.

Tow Mater was named after one of my co-workers brothers. :rotfl: He is even the voice of one of the campers in the movie. :teeth:

How cute. We've not experienced this, but my daughter is still very quick to point out every time she sees a "Herbie Car" or a "Herbie's Girlfriend Car". :teeth:
