My son is having his 5th birthday party on Sunday and I am having it at home, with a bouncy castle in the garden. it's a very small class of 12 so space is not a problem. However, i really haven't thought the entertaining them myself part through properly. can anyone give some fun, simple party games that I can try out, apart from the usual eg. musical statues, bumps, sleeping lions. It is supposed to be a Harry Potter style party if that inspires anybody.
Much pixiedust to anyone that can help,

Are you any good at drawing ?? How about pin the beak on Hedwig ?? It sounds like they are all going to have a great time ~ Good Luck :wizard:

How about an egg & spoon race? You could paint the eggs gold like in HP4. Or if you can get a couple of brooms from somewhere a broom stick race? Or you could make brooms out of cardboard boxes, less dangerous.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the ideas, I already bought a pinata, think they're great fun, but they're usually destroyed after 5 minutes  Will try the treasure hunt idea, nice and easy. Mandy, I draw worse than my son so that's out of the question, but great idea. keep em coming....

how about a simple game of hide and seek or pass the parcel
On the treasure hunt game - find the 'golden snitch'
Just looked 'Harry Potter Party' up in a search engine and found the following (I can see some of the ideas are for older kids but some might be useful

Any good party game ideas?
Plenty! But none suitable for 5 year olds, I'm afraid. :teeth:
Hope it all goes well.
