I just booked reservations for our family at the Portofino. Universal Orlando's website mentions "Express Ride Access" as one of the privileges of staying at one of their hotels, but they don't provide much detail on how this system works.

Can anyone tell me about this "privilege" or point me to the place that describes it?

Thanks,

You just show your room key when you get to a ride or attraction, and go right into the express line.

My family stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in August for 7 nights.
We were able to do a lot of attractions 4 or 5 times during the
week because of the express line. Be sure to ask at the entrance
of the attraction where the express line is. Sometimes we were
literally going in through the exit. It was great! Some attractions
like men in black had a 70 minute wait and we had about a 7 minute wait. Great if you have kids not to have to stand in line.
You do need your room key to get into the special line. On some
rides we were asked as many as 3 times in line to show our room
key. We found out why. Many people waiting and waiting in line
see you zoom by and try to jump lines but were later asked to
show room cards and then sent back to the back of the line.
Also there were a very few rides where front of line express was
not available so check so you will not be disappointed. Hope you have a great trip.
