OK<

We just got back from Disney, I have some common pins, but might be interested in learning
about more about which pins are so sought after,
WHERE DO I START?

I don't have a ds by me so I can't get there weekly for the new pins.

and if you dont want to well then

WELCOME!!! to our little piece of the world.
Collecting is so much fun.

Great Information can be found here on the Dis Collectors Board. And on the following websites

Dizpins.com
pinpics.com

Both have pictures, release dates, and loads of pin information available. Whatever you need to know you just have to ask...the people here are the best. I was new only a few months ago and now have too many pins to count. Even some I have framed. So sit back relax and read read read....and soon you will be trading away. The biggest tip is buy what you like, then you can never be disappointed in what you have in your collection.

Have fun

The TDS pins are a double edged sword -- very good at some points, but yet a real pain too. ;) I can see where the TDS Dream pins could be too discouraging for a new collector.
Look around Pinpics and see what you like. That will give you ideas. You might find there are certain themes you are attracted to. We have Pooh people, Haunted Mansion, Mickey, etc.
Also, peruse cheappins.com.
Everyone here is very helpful. This is a good site for any Disney collector.
Good luck and happy trading!

In addition to Cindy's list of recommended pin info. sites, you should also add the following new site to your "must check it out" list:

Dizneypins.com

Lots of good, timely info. there...
