I have a lovely 3 year old who we would like to take to DLP, however he can have the most fearsome screaming tantrums when the mood takes him :teeth:

My two options for going are in the 'kids go free' time or next June. I like the cheapness option for the first, and the weather for the second :cool1:

What do other parents of small children think ? We are planning on the HNY for the ease and want to go to Paris for a day. Does anyone else have a child that will blatently refuse to do something (or discuss it) and would you let this stop you from going - or should i wait as long as possible for him to outgrow this stage.

Any suggestions appreciated,
em
ps. i think he would love the Tarzan show, but is Mickeys winter wonderland as good ?

I think you have described most 3 year olds, and my 4 year old perfectly.

I've taken my dd twice at age 3, I would say to go to Disneyland with him as I think 3 is a really good age go, everything is more real then.

Going during the Kids go free season could be good as you wont have to stand in queues very long if your child is impatient, and it will be easier to get around the park with him.

A good tip I find is to ask him what he would like to do, what ride he would like to go on next etc.

Paris could be a bit more trickier as it is a very busy city. we took dd and it was very busy .. she loved the top of the tower though not the long queues for it. Though if you show him some pictures of places in the city before you go he may find it more exciting when there.

I have not seen Tarzan yet, though Mickey's wonderland is a lovely show.
