Tuesday 18th April

I was awake at 3am, 4am and 5am. Got up at 6am. I set the coffee going made a cup of tea for me. We had chocolate bourbons for brekkie in the room and then went down to try the complimentary continental breakfast at the hotel. Cereal, toast, fruit, juice, muffins etc. Good for free!

Called in at Winn Dixie on the way to Magic Kingdom to see if we could get a buggy and there was one for $19.99 - much bigger than the Walmart one so we popped it in the boot and off we went. By the way - ever paid in Winn Dixie? - its wierd - you do it all yourself - scan the bar code, feed in the dollars, take your own receipt off the till and collect your change form the shoot. Not a person in sight!

Anyway,... back to the day...Magic Kingdom was busy, busy, busy. We fast passed Buzz lightyear and then headed for the blue train ride that Ellis loves. Stright onto Buzz - 2 minute wait to shoot the aliens and baddies - ok here comes the first photo

We saluted Buzz as we passed him

and then headed for the car ride. Ellis drove - probably better than me actually!

Then we went on the Carousel of progress - its still a great big beautiful tomorrow!!!! - I love that ride!

Off to Cosmic Rays for lunch - yuk,

then we tried a pineapple Dole Whip in Adventure Land - yum yum yum.! Off to Pirates of Caribean - 30 minute wait, (splash was 1 hour wait) watched the Parade

Bought some baubles from the xmas shop and then headed home at 4.30pm.Tired but happy. According to my pedometer we did 11,000 steps! Good job *** we got home and tucked into the cheesecake again! - chocolate marble this time with a glass of red to wash it down!

For dinner we went to Angus Steak house in LBV - good steaks but the atmospherre was a bit boring. Very quiet, no music etc.
Back to the room for pudding - yep - you guessed it - cheescake - tuxedo flavour this time with more wine!

In bed by 9pm

ok - end of day 2 - no idea if these photos will work or what size they will appear so please dont be too harsh with your comments! If you find it boring let me know and I'll stop!

Yes - the pedometer was a good idea. I had been trying to lose a bit of weight(well, ok a lot of weight) before we went, and had been doing my 10,000 steps a day, so I thought I'd keep it up.

Yes, we did visit the Cheesecake Factory - details on another day :Pinkbounc

What a lovely first day, has to be Magic Kingdom for me too. Shopping in Winn Dixie sounds bizarre, think I will have to check it out for myself.

I am enjoying your trip reports...good job you do so much walking in WDW so that you can guilt free each as much cheesecake as you want popcorn::

Not mine - you'd end up with a crick in your neck turning sideways all the time! :rotfl:
