Ok folks in Dissland.

This is a total experiment. If it works it'll be day 1 - if it doesnt.. .you can all laugh at me! If you get photos - it means its worked. Some will be sideways so just learn to tilt your head every now and then *** I cant turn them round!

Right....here goes....

People on trip -

me! - Karen Mouse aka Cheesecake Queen
hubby - aka Neil - pretends to put up with Disney but likes it really
Son - aka Ellis - age 5 aka Mr Peanut Allergy

Meeting up on the second week with parents in law - aka Jo and Pete.

16th April - EASTER SUNDAY - Headed off to Holiday Inn at Mancs Airport.
Argued with hubby the whole way there - tension and DS watched his portable dvd. Had a meal at the Nags Head pub - really nice. Checked in and had a cider in the room and an early night - or so we thought. 9pm - function starts in the room just opposite ours - bangra music til 1.15am.
We complained several times and eventually fell asleep due to exhaustion.
50% was deducted the next morning off the room rate.

Monday 17th April
Had brekkie in the diner restaurant recomended by a fellow Dibber - excellent!
Flight 20 mins late. After all the fuss Virgin made re Ellis's allergy they were very good onboard. The tannoy was excellent explaining he would be severely ill and would need immediate medical attention etc if anyone ate nuts. His meal however was yukky for a 5 year old - boiled brown rice, chicken, broccolli and carrots and prunes, raisins and dried banana.
It was such a shame when he could see all the other kids munching their way through goodies and chocolate bars etc.

The flight was fine. Ellis was very well behaved and played with his huge bag on goodies.
We got through customs quickly - far right queue as recomended and then collected our luggage. We got a Dodge Caliber - brand new - hubby happy even if it wasnt a hummer!

Checked in to Comfort Inn LBV, room 1521 - (thanks Jean Wlaes - great recomendation!).

Went to Walmart to get supplies - ok cheesecake! and Ellis a buggy and carseat. Got the cheescake and carseat but the buggies were no good - Ellis is only skinny but even he was too wide for them. Grabbed a pizzahut takeout for dinner and ate it in the room.

Ok - cheesecake - it was a 12 portion 4 flavour - tonights pudding was double choc cheesecake and cream followed by a tuxedo flavour portion with cream. Yes - 2 portions but I am on holiday!

Right... thats it for now.... lets see if this works. No photos yet, but if you're still interested maybe in day 2!

Enjoyed your report, Karen, thanks for sharing. The cheesecake sounds delicious, and Pizza Hut, mmm, my favourite.
