Darn! I was too late! We went to the waterpark today and I got back and saw this. I ran to my closest Target and the shelves were practically bare. I saw tons of stuff in people's carts :( I was so jealous! I really wanted the camping grill stove. I ran to another Target and got excited when I saw they had stuff left but then realized it was still only at 50% off (I even scanned).

Were these the briquet (sp) grills? Do you remember what the regular price was?

No, it was the propane grill stove that has one burner and the rest looks like a grill. It comes in the large rectangular box and is normally $44.99. Coleman makes one that is very similar and theirs sells for around $59.99.

Thanks for the heads up :thumbsup2 . I stopped at Target on my way to get groceries today and got 4 of the cafeteria style trays in hot pink/lime green for 99 cents each  . We have 3 little nieces and 1 nephew who will be staying with us for a week in August. I think they will like using these trays. I might have to stop by again in a few days and see what's left :woohoo: !

I just ran to ours (Charleston, SC) and the summer stuff wasn't even on sale! Is there a section other than the normal section in everyone else's stores? I looked where the summer section was and most of it was all still there, but at regular price. I wonder if it's because where we live (and where the store is) is about 4 minutes from the beach, and they know they can still get everything sold at full price to all the tourists :confused3

Ours was only 50% off which stinks! It's not exactly close so I hate to have to drive back, but of course I probably will! They didn't have a lot of good stuff left....at least the stuff I would have loved. They did have the kids chair which we've been wanting, so I did get one of those. I saw someone who worked there and she said she was suprised that theirs wasn't 75% off yet. She said maybe tomorrow! UGH! So I'l go again of course, but I'm sure after today, there won't be much left.

Mine was still at 50% today. About 2/3 of the stuff was gone and they were already moving it to clear space for the next seasonal display. (Considering that it is, technically, not even summer yet I can't image what's next seasonally.)

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh! I went to my Target late last night(Sat/June 17) after reading this post and everything there was still 50%. I checked it all on the little scanners too... :( :( :( So, I asked a Target employee why some other Targets already went to 75%... he said he had no idea-but that the stuff in our Target will most likely go on Monday morning to 75% as that's when they do their markdowns.... I'm so there @ opening to get the 4 person tent regularly $60... it'll be $15!!! Hope there's still one there when I get there!!!!!

my oldest goes back on August 2, LOL! I've already got the school supplies list on the fridge :teeth:

My Target was marked down to 75% off today. Between yesterday at 2:00pm and this morning at 8:00am... a lot of stuff disappeared from the shelves! I bought a pool inflatable toy, kids chair, 2 of the folding chairs (kicking myself, I should have bought 4 and picked up an inexpensive table somewhere else  ) and a couple of ponchos that weren't there yesterday. I'll take the 2 I got at 50% off back. It will be easier to keep up with my kids in lime green ponchos, and at $1.24 each, I can throw them away at the end of the trip!

Two of the Target's near me are still at 50% off today (Sunday) and two are at 75% off.

I tried SO hard NOT to overbuy.............

The only thing I bought at 50% off was two sleeping bags, because only one store (of four) even had any left. My two younger kids have the child sized sleeping bags, and they are just too small. With two camping trips planned this summer, $12.50 is a good price.

I bought new dishes (the dark blue acrylic style), the plates and bowls. I am tired, tired, tired of my old dishes (from 1991)

I also bought some of the "drinks in a bucket" for summer parties, and a bunch of the freezer bottles.

I am hosting a mother-daughter Bunco party in August, and bought some cute plates and napkins, and they were cheaper than buying some ordinary paper plates and napkins, so that went well for me.

I bought dh the little table top grill (the kind that uses charcoal) for Fathers Day. He's been wanting something like that, so procrastination paid off!!!

I was proud of myself for NOT buying the cute picnic/cooler bag, another cooler (any kind), an inflatable pool and so on. :thumbsup2 They were so cute, but I really didn't need it, and that's where I have problems with money......buying things on clearance that I don't really need and won't use, "just in case".

Now I just need the patio stuff to go on clearance. I even have the skew numbers written down of the things I want!

My local Target was at 75% off and it looked like it was hit by a tornado. I did manage to get:

6 Acrylic Glass for 49 cents each; 4 packages of plastic hangers for 49 cents each; and a plastic pitcher for $1.24. One man was literally clearing off the shelves. We have a lot of little mom and pop stores in our neighborhood and I wonder if he was trying to stock his own shelves.

Well, it's official. I talked to a cashier at my local Target yesterday and she confirmed my fears! I asked her when the summer items would go on clearance and she looked at me like I had 4 heads and said not until the fall. I think it's so weird that all these stores are at 75% off and it's not even officially summer yet. I told her that other stores were at 75% already and she confirmed my thought that since we're a beach town it won't happen until at least August. She may not really 'know' for sure, but I'm betting that's accurate since nothing is even on sale yet, let alone clearanced.

Karen--I am in the same boat though not as bad. I rushed out to Target last night because we could really use some more beach towels. Yeah, ours is at 30% or LESS off. Bleah.

The other ones sort of nearby apparently went to 75% over the weekend and everything is gone. I haven't checked the one that is about 10 miles the other way, but I don't get why the one in town is soooo far behind. Oh well, I guess it gives me a bit more time.

The only beach towels that are 75% off are the ones with the Random Acts of Summer tag on them. The other ones are manual markdowns. I found one mixed in with the other towels today. My store had nothing left. It must have went 75% off Sunday. They put out big packs of paper towels, cleaning products, diapers, etc. where the summer stuff was. Silly planning if you ask me. Summer hasn't even started yet! I hear that back to school stuff will be there by the 4th of July. Great! School won't even have been out for 2 weeks when that happens!

We stopped by a Target yesterday (Sunday) and it was still 50% off, so we went back this morning and hit pay dirt!! We bought coolers, canopies, air mattresses, pool floats, towels sleeping bags, lanterns hammocks, and I don't even know what else. We ended up spending $135 including tax. Nothing we acually need right now, but when we leave for camping soon my last minute shopping list will be shorter and cheaper! Plus our son now has cub scout trips planned for the summer and we are ready!!! Took my friend and she cleaned up too. There were about five people in the aisle and we couldn't fill our carts fast enough. At the checkout I decided to run back and grab another air mattress and the checker had me grab her one too.

I got two twin size air mattresses for 4. each and a queen size for 4.49 I got a camping chair for 4. a four person tent for the boys for 14. and best of all a red cooler which was regular price 29.99 for 1.87!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Our closest Targets are 40,50,and 60 minutes away. Too late to probably go looking now. When I was there at 50% off, there were 2 clerks moving things around. They were saying the area where the patio stuff is will be all back-to-school within 30 days from now. (well that was last week). So, I'm thinking that it's gotta be soon they'll start marking it down (I'm waiting too). It is funny hearing that because our elementary school's still have 2 more days left, and ds (jr high) has only been out a week.

I managed to pick up the colorful patio chairs with the ottoman for $3.29 each and a battery powered air pump for the queen blow up mattress for $4.20. I was really hoping for the lantern and the hammock but they were gone!!

When I went on Sunday, the Target I went to already had all their school stuff out.

Well I couldn't resist checking it out--- so I justified the trip w/ purchasing things like toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap-- all the stuff we need for our trip next month.

Ours is 75% off- and must of went either Sunday or Monday. There was just a tiny section of stuff left (I was there the first day it went 50% and there was 3 aisles then). I didn't get anything. They had at least 200 of those air pumps left. They also had a ton of the plastic cups in the dispenser for $4.99 (before discount). They had a small variety of dishes and that was it. I say they'll still have cups and air pumps left for the 90% off sale.

Ours now had jumbo boxes of food and cleaning supplies in the area the stuff was previously. I am going to be watching like a hawk though for the patio stuff to start getting marked down. I think a lot will go quickly though even at the 30% and I really want to hold out for 50%.

Keep checking because I had to go today to get some bath stuff, and happened to check the section. They had taken all the summer stuff from 3 aisles and piled it into one and marked it down 75%, there was no progression from 30% to 50% to 75%. It was pretty picked over when I got there around 1:00, and since I live in a condo with no private yard I couldn't use most of the things, but I got a ton of stuff for school and some cute summery dishes that were like 70 cents!! So don't give up and keep checking! Obviously the cashier at my store didn't know what she was talking about ;)

Went today and it was 90% off. :woohoo: I picked up some candles for .69 a piece, some placemats for .09 a piece and napkins in a box for .49.

My BEST find though was the hard top luggage normally $59.99 and it rang up $3.14!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: party: I could tell it was a return, but that did not make a difference to my two boys who wheeled it around the store. I don't think they made any profit on that one.
