Do you have one and, if so, do you remove it during the summer months?
I have always loved mine (Northern Nights Baffle Box) but lately it is becoming "crushed." Guess they only last so long. I am currently trying to decide if I should take it off for the summer - seems like it would be cooler? :confused3

I used to have one, and I always took it off in the summer to be cooler. Also, when mine started to become crushed, I would put it in the dryer for a few minutes with a tennis ball to fluff it up a bit.

Are you sure you aren't talking about a "down comforter"...rather than a "featherbed"?
I don't have a featherbed, but our family uses multiple down comforters. My guess is if I had a "crushed featherbed"...I would take it into the yard and (with the help of my DH...or other strong individuals) beat some life back into it.

Yes, taking it in the back yard and beating it might help - for a while at least. It weighs a ton and there is no way it will fit in my dryer :)
Maybe I should just put it up for the summer and then buy a new one in the fall...
