Waitlist success!

I am beyond excited!! I waitlisted for a 1-bedroom Boardwalk view for the night of 12/26 (I had booked a PV for the night; the rest of the week is for a Boardwalk view), and it came through! I went on the waitlist on April 27, so it took about 6 weeks for the waitlist to come through. I really wasn't expecting this waitlist to come through, so I'm doing a major happy dance!

Now, if I can get my other waitlist to come through (New Year's Eve), I'll be super happy!

Elaine, my Christmas is already magical - I'm headed to WDW! Now that this waitlist has come through, my Christmas will be that much more magical.

It would really make my day if the NYE waitlist would come through. Somehow, I'm not too optimistc. But, if my 12/26 waitlist came through, then you never know! :)

Congrats! I had a boardwalk view in May and I was lucky enough to snag one for this August! Your trip will be even better with that great view! Have fun :)

Congratulations!!!! Hey, that was me last year, except I didn't start until August!! I originally had booked a 1bdrm stnd view to save points, but eventually realized that I wasn't going to be happy on New Years unless I could see all of the action on the Boardwalk!! It was also my B-day!!! Every night eventually came through one by one!!! The tough one, believe it or not, was the 29th!! Here's some Pixie Dust for the 31st!! :wizard:

Cinderpals, you have given me the optimism I've been hoping for! All I need is the night of 12/31, and I'm really nervous about that. Please keep all fingers and toes crossed! I have a 1-BR at BCV booked as a backup, but I really want that BW view!

It is sooooo worth it! Since the 29th wasn't available, I had given up my 2 nights 1bdrm with a boardwalk view and changed to the studio boardwalk view for those nights. That way it didn't matter if the 29th came up as a 1bdrm or studio boardwalk view. We only had to move once either way. The only one who was annoyed was my DH who doesn't like moving at anytime for any reason!
Request a 4th or 5th floor before you get there. I'll never forget the fireworks show!!! We could see them from MK, MGM, Epcot and Universal Studios direction. I'm going to be there for the 4th of July, so I'm expecting a great show too. :cloud9:

Cinderpals, thanks for the advice on an upper floor request. I have to call MS tomorrow to link my two reservations together, so I'll make that request tomorrow when I call. Woohoo - I'm so excited!

That's great. I hope ours comes through. We've been waiting since March for a one bedroom at BCV for Nov. 5th. If we don't get it we'll have to leave there for one night, then return.

I know we still have a chance, but it seems like it's been such a long wait already.

Lizanne, after reading that so many people had waitlists come through in 1-2 weeks, I was getting very worried. So when I checked the dvcmember.com website Friday night, I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the waitlist had come through. Be patient - it might come through!
