View Full Version : No bugs for us at OWK!!

We are enjoying our stay here at OKW. We have been here since Saturday and checking out this Friday. The place is great. There have been so many threads about these awful bug bites lately but I wanted to reassure you that we have no bugbites!! :) We have sat on our balcony morning, afternoon, evening, sunny days, cloudy days, and pouring days.

Off to Magic Kingdom!

I was there last week (June 6, 7) and we had no buggies either! We stayed in a 2 bedroom that was excellent! Everyone was wonderful, the food at Oliva's is great.
Now I have 79 days to wait until Hilton Head!!

Karen,

They seem to be very selective regarding whom they bite. There was 5 of us, and only 2 of us were bitten. I like to think we were the "sweeter" ones, tee hee!

Glad to hear you have no pesky biting issues. Have a fantastic trip!

That's great news, and we didn't have anysort of bug problem at OKW either.

By the way, we met KarenB on one of the OKW busses!

We are arriving on Sunday too :woohoo: We have never had bug bite problems at Disney. This will be our first trip to OKW, but have stayed at POR for our last 9 trips, and cannot remember ever being bitten. I think Disney does a great job spraying for buggies! However, the no see ums attack my husband and daughter when we are on Sanibel :rotfl: We use something called Cactus Juice we buy on the Island, great stuff, no deet. Also, tanning oil works or Skin so soft oil. They stick to the oil and can not bite. A funny story, my daughter went for a walk at night on the beach with a friend. They sprayed down with skin so soft. When they came back to the condo I asked my daughter if see had walked in the mulch, her ankles, even her neck had no see ums stuck to her. It was so gross, BUT no bites!
