Current online pricing is around $260, and may well drop lower. I bought mine several months back, when Fuji had a $50 rebate going, for $222 after rebate, which is what pushed me over the edge, so to speak.

Here are a couple of reviews:

I've been pleased with the camera, overall, and will be taking it to Mickey's World in about three weeks, and will post some results upon return. Be aware, though, that the S5200 (maybe other Fuji's as well) seem to do less in-camera "processing" than some others, and I find personally that the images, out of the camera, are a little soft, and require a little sharpening in your PP software of choice.

It will be interesting to see if the price reduction pushes the online street price down to the $225 range. Online price at time I bought was $272, less the $50MIR. The other eyebrow-raiser is, what is behind the price drop. I speculate that it may be to move existing inventory to make way for a new model in this series...s5300? If so, it probably would be not all that different from the 5200...maybe an extra MPixel or two. Larger sensor would require larger, heavier, more expensive body/lens.

Fuji's S9000 also is currently carring a $100 rebate, putting its online price in the $500 (AR) range, so maybe a new model is coming down that pike, as well. Time will tell.
