Hey guys and gals -
My DW and I are going to spend 5 nights at WDW in Sept. for our 25th anniversary.
Soooooo....
What are your best romantic spots/ideas?
We will try all of them that we can!

Dinner at Victoria and Albert's!
Get a set of Bride and Groom ears at the Magic Kingdom hat shop and ask them to embroider "25th Anniversary" on the front of each.

I think being among the very last people to exit MK, holding hands, maybe pausing by the castle for a gentle kiss, and telling her how much she means to you would be a romantic moment.
There are lots of ways to be romantic without spending a fortune (which is also fine if you can afford to do that, too!).
Calling ahead and having a special dessert made for your anniversary dinner.
Are you buying a special gift for her?
If you gave a little more detail about your trip (where you're staying, where dinner will be on your anniversary, which park you plan on visiting that day, etc) you would probably get alot more ideas specifically suited to your details!
BTW, I think the fact that you are even planning a romantic trip is fantastic. The fact that you are asking for suggestions is wonderful. Happy Anniversary.

Eating at Paris is always romantic with a bottle of champagne!
I think an illuminations cruise for two would be wonderful!

A special present waiting in your room one evening (jewelry, chocolate covered strawberries......)
Don't forget special photos! Photos with characters. Photos of just the two of you.

where are you staying?
some of the Disney resorts are very romantic.....
there is rose garden between the castle and tomorrowland at MK.
there is a rose garden along one of the pathways between FW and WS at Epcot.
restuarants - depends upon what you think is romantic?

Here are a few more details...
We are staying all 5 nights at the Boardwalk - Epcot is our favorite and MGM is our second, so being walking distance from either one sounds great - we're big walkers.
I love the ears idea -
What about a special dessert?
We are on the dining plan, which I know some people think is great and others, well, don't.
We are both public school choir teachers, so I wanted to see if we could catch some performances of the Voices of Liberty - maybe there's something special associated with that.
Is there still a rose garden at the AA?
What is a special "silver" but not too expensive gift suggestion? The trip itself is already pretty pricey (flying from Colorado is not the cheapest way to go!!).
Keep the ideas coming!
Any other questions?

 For our anniversary trip we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. I scheduled a carriage ride along the river at the resort (which is open to anyone who calls it in), and then had the restaurant in the Riverside make us a dozen chocolate covered strawberries to bring with! IT was great! My hubby who is Mr. UNromantic even said it was the best surprise ever on the whole trip. I had a bunch of them planned too!
I highly recommend the carriage ride though, it was great.

Where are you eating dinner on your anniversary? Perhaps you could arrange ahead for a special dessert and let them know its your anniversary.
Maybe you can do something "out of the ordinary" at WDW that you normally would not do, like dancing in public or declaring your love in front of the castle.
You could have your photo taken and framed in a beautiful "silver" frame.
I think they still have carriage rides at a couple of resorts.
Whatever you choose does not have to be expensive - just showing how much thought is behind your efforts will be a wonderful gift!

well, staying at the BW is all ready romantic, so is there anyway to "renew" your wedding vows on that porch on the boardwalk, going to Epcot? I find that whole area to be romantic on it's own! as for desserts in France, the chocolate mousse eclairs! OMG!!

see what different ideals that there are here.... I don't consider BW romantic - too busy an area for me.....
but hey since everyone is different!!!
I like Cape May Cafe over at the BC. Not romantic but fun - it is buffett - I love their breakfast (Goofy's beach blast).
you are within walking distance of all Epcot restuarant. What type do you like?
France is nice; Mexico - the atmosphere is great, the food so so; I liked Norway but since it is characters around the clock I have not been back; China; Germany; Italy; America; Japan; Morocco; france; great britian; canada....
you have a lots of choices here. plus all the choices along the BW - not to mention BC/YC plus D/S.
I like the food at Canada - and it is in the basement - so it might be romantic????
disney needs to add another country - how about something from South America.....or India....

My DH and I are going in July. I went through Gifts of a lifetime and I am surprising him by having our vows renewed. It is set up to be done by the wishing well and I am getting the wedding ears and shirts made that say "We renewed our vows in Disney World and the date. I cannot wait!!! :thumbsup2 :lovestruc

My DBF and I just went recently and it was our anniversary. We went out to dinner at Le Cellier and then when we got back to our room at POR there was a bottle of wine and mickey glasses, a dozen pink roses and rose petals sprinkled over the bed waiting! It was so beautiful.

Since you are walkers I think you will find just walking around the BW late at night romantic If you go out by the Quiet Pools and Gardens with a glass of wine it is very quiet at night. Also you might want to consider The California Grill. You can have a nice dinner and then watch Wishes from the Observation deck. Beautiful place to see the fireworks and the play the music as well. Happy Anniversary to you and your Princess. Good Luck I hope you have a great trip

You can call the GF bakery and ask them to recreate one layer of your wedding cake. They will deliver it to whatever restaurant you're eating at on your anniversary, or you can have it delivered to your room.
I would definitely recommend one of the fireworks cruises; if you're staying at BW, a Breathless Illuminations cruise would be perfect.
A private dinner can be set up, either in your hotel room on the balcony or perhaps in one of the cute gardens of the BW Inn. If you have it late enough, you'd probably be able to see the fireworks.
I hope you have a very happy (and romantic) anniversary. Congratulations!

I also recommend California Grill. I did that and it's still one of my best memories of Disney World. Only drawbacks are 1) you have to get reservations WAY in advance 2) can be pricey. If you choose the California Grill make sure to ask for a table by a window (for the great views), and get out to the balcony a little before the fireworks start. It's a very moving experience.

Count me in on this thread. I'll be taking my bride to WDW for our DisneyMoon in January. It will be her first trip since she was a teen 30 years ago. We were friends and co-workers a dozen years ago who reconnected last summer after 10 years apart. After hearing me talk about my solo trips to WDW she chose WDW among the options we considered. I too am thinking of romantic things for our week and look forward to more ideas from this thread. We have chosen to stay at Pop Century -- I would love to stay at the Poly but we'd have to wait another year before we could go ... nah!! I don't think so!! I'll save that for an anniversary trip. Can't wait to show her my favorite place in all the world.

I recently saw a special on the Food Network -- I think...might have been The Learning Channel -- on WDW romantic wedding/anniversary things. A couple was spending their anniversary at the World with their grown children. Their daughter set up a surprise wedding vow renewal at the Poly before dinner. It was beautiful and quiet, outside on the grass with the castle in the view behind them. The couple was so surprised and had tears in their eyes all night!
DH & I are going for our anniversary this September. We're trying something new for our actual "day." No parks, no stress, no rushing to make ADRs. We're going to sleep in, have a nice hearty breakfast in our timeshare, head to the pool for a bit for some sun, get massages at our spa, then hit a romantic off-site restaurant (Emeril's Chop Tchop - sp?) for dinner.
We're there for a full week, so we figure one day of stress-free "us time" will be a nice change :)
Hope both couples have a great time!

my husband & i went to the mandara spa in march & it was so relaxing & romantic. we had the couples massage treatment, it started with a private jacuzzi room with arometherapy & lit candles. then we moved next store to our private massage room where we had side by side massages. i definetly recommend this!
also happy anniversary!

That sounds glorious, Twojo! I need to get on the horn with my timeshare to see what they offer, and I'm going to ask if they have something like that :)

Don’t forget to stop in at guest relations and pick up your button...(for anniversary’s not just wedding/honeymoons)....Just for good food i recommend the Flying Fish...kind of loud though....Also plan a dinner in Cinderella castle (ask for the window seat...it will keep you way from kids and they make it special)….What I have to say is so sweet are those silly light up roses…(they still have them on some carts)…My brother always runs and gets one when his girlfriend is in the bathroom….gets them every time

Wendy - I've already scheduled the flying fish AND Cinderella's Royal Table - can I request a window seat in advance or do I just ask when we arrive for our seating?
Light up roses, eh? Where do they sell those?
And I was wondering about some buttons of some sort - can I get those at guest relations at any of the parks?
Thanks for the feedback!

Best way to get the window seat is calling the restaurant itself...WDW-DINE cant always guarantee it...but a few days before give them a call and let them know ...also you can order a special cake to be delivered during your dinner....
As for the rose...they are on the glow carts at every park.....(along with some great other light up toys)
Your right Buttons are at MK town hall (guest relations) and every other park...just have to ask they are free...Disney does sell fancier ones at the pin trading stands...but all the employees are told to congratulate people with the free buttons...
Have fun...

DH and I just booked our trip for our anniversary. We are going Sept. 10-14th and are staying at the BW.
I made reservations for LeCellier for 8:10 the night of our anniversary (12th)this way we can watch the fireworks. I also booked a carriage ride for the next night. I am going to call about the chocolate covered strawberries. That is a great idea.

Don't know if this will help you or not, but I just finished a trip report on the surprise trip I planned for my wife on our 10th anniversary. I put it on its own website since it is so long and there are so many pictures. Here is the address:

Feel free to use the email link there or PM me here with any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

My husband and I did a carriage ride at Fort Wilderness on our honeymoon. Include a bottle of champagne & time it w/the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. It was an awesome evening!
