i just saw on sigma site my particular lens needs an upgrade to work with my new camera( which was shipped today :cheer2: btw)
anyone had to do this or know how it actually happens( in a perfect world they would say "pick out what ever lens you want for free" but i know that is not the real world solution :teeth: )

Depends on which lens it is.
Some Sigma lenses can be upgraded to work with Canon digital cameras. Sigma charges $10 for this if your lens can be upgraded.
Some Sigma lenses cannot be upgraded. Sigma has a trade-in program for these lenses that will give you a percentage off the purchase price of a new Sigma lens.

i did email them and sent a copy of my warrenty card so i guess i 'll have to wait and see
