Can tall people stand upright in a pop-up without having their head hit the roof? It would bother me to no end if my head was hitting the top!

We're in the early stages of budgeting for one for our Christmas trip to the Fort!

TIA

Well, I guess it depends on what you call tall. The new highlander Fleetwood campers have a 7’ 1” ceiling. For most folks that’s tall enough but its not NBA tall

agreeing that the ceiling inside out pop up when it us put up is around 7 foot high. the only time any of us have to duck is when going thru the door or (of course) in the bunk ends.

We have a 2001 Jayco Laurel PU camper and DH has no problem standing up inside without coming close to touching the ceiling, he's 6'1". I would say the ceiling is at least 5-6" above the top of his head.

DH and DS only have to duck going in and out of the door. Otherwise there is no problem. DS is 6' 3".

My wife just bought a new 06 Jayco tent trailer and her brother 6'5" can stand in it no problem and it is just the J series I think it is a 1207.

Thanks, guys, for writing back! I've never even been IN a pop-up but it's the only thing our mini-van can pull so it's our only option. I guess I'd HAVE to suffer if the roof were lower, so I'm so glad to hear it's not!! We get tired of bumping our heads on stuff all the time!! :rotfl2:

Happy camping!

Ya my wife wanted a hybrid but the minivan is ours for another 2 years till the lease is up and she wanted one for her camoping trips with teh kids this summer so she settled on a tent trailer. Once we move to the new vehicle she will upgrade to the hybrid.
