I am nervous about the crowds and thought this might give me a clue. So, if you'll be there please write in. Maybe we'll see you at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's or Hoop dee do? I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Aren't you?

You're not the only other crazy person who scheduled your WDW vacation the week after Easter, so did we! Can't wait to get in on the nice warm weather, it's been cold and too much snow up here. We have something to look forward to and only a little bit longer to wait! I'm really not worried about crowds. What can you do about that? I know how you feel exactly as it's getting closer - I've been counting the days. Will be at Chef Mickey's our first night 4/16 for dinner at 8:15 p.m. See you there if by chance you're going there too! :D</font>

We will be there from April 14th - 21st. Staying five nights at the HIFS and then 2 nights at the Hard Rock.

Going on the trip are Me(turning 42 two days before our trip), my sister(31), my son(13), nephew(15) and neice(6).

This will be my 5th trip to Disney but my sister's first. I am the trip coordinator and cheerleader. They think I have lost my mind but it will pay off in the long run.

Hubby decided that he did not want to come on this trip. He thought he had seen enough Disney. How can anyone see enough Disney?? Well, as my six year old neice has told him. He will miss all of the fun. Now that we have had a cold wet new england winter he is sorry that he isn't coming.

How are you keeping the suprise, mdmomof3? There is no way I could do it. They will be so suprised!

Easyrider,

Well, it has not been easy keeping the surprise, but it will be worth it! I do most of my planning and research while they are at school or in bed (I keep my Passporter under my bed and work on it each night.) As of now, the kids will wake up early Easter morning, and instead of their usual baskets, will find Disney gift bags with things like candy, sunglasses, GOH badges, glow necklaces, disposable camera, etc. Also, they will have plastic eggs containing Disney dollars and their passes! We will go to church, and then leave shortly after. Dh will take them out Saturday afternoon, so I can get everyone packed. It will be a 14-hour drive, and I have bought a tv/vcr for the van, which will also be a surprise. However...we are back to considering flying, so things may change a little! We are staying at HIFS, and I think that they are going to love it! We have not been since 97, and my dd was only 3, so she barely remembers it. I guess I better go find some lime green ribbon!

We will be there the 12th -19th. What a great surprise, mdmomof3...make sure you take pictures of them opening their baskets...I wonder who will figure it out first? I can't wait for warm weather!!

Kajunswty
03-08-2001, 07:33 PM
I will be on the lookout for some too. Do I wear it under my GOH badge? Is there a politically correct way to wear it. I don't want to goof it up!

I am so excited for you - I hope that you will post some pictures of the baskets. You had a great idea. I can't keep a secret especially a huge one like that - I'd probably explode!

it's late gotta get to bed!

what is a GOH badge and where do you get them?

Kajunswty
03-12-2001, 01:23 PM
GOH badge is a Guest of Honor badge and you can buy them at Epcot (premade with names on them already). Or, if you have an odd name like me you can go to downtown disney and have one made. And I just found this out today there is a website called gifts of a lifetime (www. of course) that sells them and will ship them to you before you leave! how about that!!

We had our done with our names and our hometown at the bottom of the badge. you might have noticed the CM's with there hometown on them. Or I've seen them with Walt Disney World across the bottom too.

Sorry for rambling - I am sure I told you more than you wanted to know....lol

have a disney day °O°

We will be there as well. Staying at the Poleynesian. We will arrive on the 15th Easter Sunday after just coming off a Carnival Cruise for 7days. We will only be there until the 19th. We have just booked July 13th to the 21st at our home resort Old Key West. This is a real shock for us as last year we spent 21 days in August. We still have our annual pass and I believe we really got our money's worth.

It looks like there's a few of us visiting WDW at the same time - wear a Lime Green Ribbon so we can say Hi!

Last time posted here we were weeks away, now only one week to go. No, haven't started to pack although the luggage pulled out. I don't know where to start and am so excited! One thing I did was talk the family into a buffet dinner on Easter (never did that before) since we're leaving the day after. Don't think I'd have time to cook. See you at Chef Mickey's on the 16th for dinner! :D
