It's always for the kids! You should get your reaction to his reaction as well!!

Enjoy your trip!

Wow you are on your way right now! How exciting for you. Your son is going to be thrilled! We sort of surprised our kids one Christmas. They had opened all their gifts and just as we finished breakfast I said hey I think there might be something in the living room..... And there was a giant Mickey(they were giving them away at ToysRUs that year) holding a card. And the card said One more gift..You are coming to see me right now! My ds was 9 and dd was 6 and they both were saying "yeah right" funny Mom... And when I brought down the bags they were screaming jumping up and down with the "I can't believe it" I am so excited..... Oh it was great!

I don't know how you do it. We aren't going until November, and I can't wait to tell DS, who has autism, that he will be in the Magic Kingdom on his birthday. Everyone says "don't tell him, he'll never stop talking about it", but I am excited just the same.

That's so fun! He will always remember this surprise. When I was little, my mom woke me up early one morning and surprised me with a trip to Disneyland. That was over 20 years ago, and I still count it as one of the most special days in my life. Go, Mom (or Dad?)! :cheer2:

I would love to surprise DD like this for our next trip. She knows were going in a couple of years so I could tell her that the year changed. The only problem is, I'd be pulling her out of school for 2 weeks. I'm sure the teachers or someone would let it slip by telling them to have fun.

I'll still have to think of a way of maybe doing it. She'd be SO EXCITED.

Wow, how fun!! We sort of did a surprise trip several years ago. Just went to a travel agent and bought airline tickets and made a reservation to stay at WL, leaving in about 2 1/2 weeks time, which is a HUGE change from our other trips where we planned, planned and then planned some more, with about 10 months time to wait until trip time. Just came home and plopped the tickets on the table and let the kids find them. (Yes this trip was a long time ago to where you actually GOT paper airline tickets!!) I have to say that of all our trips to DW, that is our absolute favorite by far.
