It was Hot Hot Hot - Day Eleven Epcot & MK

We head off to Epcot again today and it’s straight to get a fast pass for Soarin’. We have a walk around the gardens and then go for coffee and strawberry shortcake only this time we have one each.

We go to Soarin’ and wait in the queue.

There is a family in front of use and all is fine until they open the door to let us in. The little girl decides she doesn’t want to go and starts screaming “get me out of here”. Her dad picks her up but she doesn’t stop and when they get to the door she puts one leg on each side of the frame so that they can’t get in. Her dad gets her legs off and carries her in still screaming get me out. By this time I want to get her myself and take her; however the cm arrives and advises that once the ride has started they won’t be able to stop it “just to let you know”. The ride starts off and off we go and she is fine, when it finished she thought it was fantastic and l couldn’t help but smile when her mom said “do you really think we would make you do anything we thought you wouldn’t like” at which point I silently apologised to the parents for thinking how mean they were.

Off to the world showcase now and we do the ride in Mexico and wander around.

We had collected another fast past for Soarin’ when we got off so as we still had an hour or so Alan asks if we should walk to the Boardwalk so I agree and off we go.

We had just missed the boat so as it is a 20 minute wait DH decides that we should walk, (next time he has another idea like that one I shall brain him). It was baking hot and we were running out of water (sounds like something out of Laurence of Arabia lol) but it was fantastic to see it. Should I ever win the lottery I would definitely consider it as a place to stay. We walked to the end and as time was getting on plus I don’t think I could have walked it back we got the boat.

After getting off the boat I realised that I had another blister coming on my other foot, so we had to stop while I put plasters on as the plaster was coming off my other foot and made our way back for Soarin’. After riding Soarin’ we headed to MS where I wasn’t sure about the new softer ride and if I am honest I really didn’t want Alan to ride it until I had heard what it was like so I was relieved when he wasn’t too bothered so we headed off to TT. The wait at TT was 120 minutes so that was out of the question so extremely foot sore and tired we made our way back to the hotel to try and get an hour before heading back to MK and EMH.

So after a quick rest and something to eat it was time to get the bus to MK.

We arrive at MK and I wanted to find a place to video Spectromagic as I wasn’t pleased with my last effort so DH decides to go and see Mickey’s Philharmagic and we arrange to meet where I am standing either before or after the parade depending on whether he can get through. I manage to find DH after the parade or did he find me. Anyway we walk to main street to get an ice cream (it was worth queuing for) and just as we get out Wishes has started so we stand on main street watching wishes me with a video recorder in one hand and an ice cream in the other and maybe a tear in my eye at the end.

We walk around to tomorrowland and back into fantasyland where I make him queue with me for Winnie the Pooh as I have never done this ride. We then go to Mickey’s Philharmagic and after we go to the Haunted Mansion.

We go back to Pop and are too late to get our drinks as it is closed so I have to make do with a can of coke from the vending machine. Mr Disney I was not a happy bunny, please in future can you not leave the drinks part open just a little later when there are EMH’s.

To be honest I was so tired I didn’t really care; I don’t know how many miles we had walked since we had arrived but I think my legs were beginning to feel every one of them now.

once you got out on your own there was no stopping you
WDW is one of the places you can do that and feel safe and not on your own

I remember the time we stayed at the all stars
the walk to the bus stop it was always the last one and the busyest
DH even slept standing up wait one night
but I think the longest wait was 20 minutes
