It was Hot Hot Hot - Day Eight Typhoon Lagoon & MGM

Today is Typhoon Lagoon. Unfortunately we didn’t get out as early as we planned so when we arrived all the sun beds had gone so we had to make do with a chair.

We spent time in the wave pool before having a wander around. We then did the lazy river which was great, after that we did the family gang plank rides I think it’s called. There was a long queue to get to this and it was pretty hard getting the big ring up the steps, (the family ride at BB is much better). We both thought this ride was not up to much and after this I left Alan to go on some more of the rides whilst I went back and got a drink.

We took our refillable mug from last year and used that. We had lunch and spent more time in the wave pool before deciding to head back to Pop. Not many photos as most of it is on video.

Now Alan wasn’t that keen on Fantasmic last time and there was an X Men film on the TV that night that he wanted to watch so we both agreed that I should go and see Fantasmic whilst he watched his film.

This was a first for me and not something I would have done on had we been on the I Drive, so I took myself off to MGM. Alan walks me to the hall and he is going to have 10 minutes in the arcade before going back to the film. I am waiting at the bus stop for a while when an ambulance pulls up and I immediately think I hope he is okay (he had a heart attack just over 12 months ago) shall I go and look for him when a bus pulls up and everybody starts to get on. Its no good I know I am going to have to check even though I know its not for him as I shall be worrying all night so off I trot and find him in the arcade he calls me nuts and this time walks me to the bus stop and this time I get on the bus.

I must admit it felt a bit strange at first being in the park on my own. I had a wander down to the TOT and got myself a drink before taking myself off to Fantasmic.

There was a seat on the front row so I took that and actually the young girl beside me was on her own so I didn’t feel so bad after that. It was a great show as usual and after battling the crowds to get out I made my way back to the bus stop doing a bit of shopping in the process.

My ride home? I think not lol

It’s amazing how safe you feel at Disney it certainly didn’t bother me being on my own like I thought it might.

Back at the room the film had finished so we both went and had pizza (fantastic pizza at Pop) before eventually going back and to bed.

I have never been to a park on my own but I would like to - I bet you see all sorts of things you might miss normally.
