How can I figure out the point value in WDW food according to weight watchers flex point value? IS there a sight that breaks down the point value in wdw food? Or has anyone been on the points and went to WDW and ate...but didn't gain back a lot of weight? I have been doing weight watchers since March 14, 2006. I have almost reached my goal, the problem is when I go back to eating regular food or WDW food I gain back over half the weight in an 8 day trip. If I lose 10 pounds i gain back 5 - 7pounds. How can I avoid this happening? And i watch what i eat, but it still happens. My doctor says it's the greese and what they use to cook the food, also told my to avoid fried food. Any ideas or help? I leave on 6 - 12 - 06.

Have been to WDW many times doing POINTS. Make good choices. Check allearsnet for the menus before you go. That way you can avoid places that don't have a healthy selection. Portions at WDW are very L A R G E and DH and I almost always share an entree or sandwich. When we share a sandwich, I usually order a salad to go with it. And I eat the dressing. It's vacation! I don't eat a lot of desserts normally, so vacation is really not a time that I'd go crazy on desserts. We have ice cream a few nights - ate my own berry sundae at Ghirardelli. Also keep in mind that you are walking :yay: about 8-10 miles a day. The thing you have to watch out for is how to eat once you get home. Your brain is still on vacation but you're not doing all that walking anymore. I have at least a 2-pound loss after a Disney trip. Good luck! :cheer2:

Instead of following the Flex plan maybe you should follow the Core Plan for your vacation. I have been on the Core Plan since December and I've lost 37 lbs. The Core Plan is similar to the Atkins or South Beach Diet, but the Core is the healthier version, such as lean meats and fat free items. When I go on vacation I convert myself over to Atkins for the week and it doesn't throw off my system. I have actually lost weight on vacation. Good Luck to you.

I did o.k. I tried to be good the first 6 days or so. Then I said forget it. I ate hot dogs, french fries, chicken sandwhiches, panini's, pasta, lot's of pizza, cookies, brownies, lots of frozen lemonade, cake, ice cream. Hmmmm, that about covers it. I couldn't resist, we ate at places like the liberty tree tavern, harbour house, pinocchio's village haus, caseys corner, pecos bills tall tale inn, plaza inn, tony's town square, coral reef, garden grill, San angel inn, ALfredo's, le cellier, donalds breakfastosaurus, flame tree bbq, chef mickeys, california grill, sci fi dine inn, pizza planet, and our food court at all star movies, oh and cinderella's castle. I mean with all these great places, i knew i'd bust the diet. Anyways all that junk and all i gained was 4 pounds. Now that i've been home over a week I went back on the diet and have lost 2 pounds. So i guess it wasn't so bad....for all the junk i ate.

I went to allears.net and looked at the menu selections and planned in advance what I would order. Sometimes I shared a sandwich with my husband. The preplanning really helped since I could estimate the points. The Disney counter service meals have really gone healthier and it wasn't a problem sticking to a Weight Watchers plan. I've lost 50 pounds and came back home feeling successful in sticking within the points in a reasonable way. Good luck and enjoy.
