This will be our second trip to WDW. We were there last year during MNSSHP and it wasn't that busy since it was the same week of the Hurricane. Our trip will be from July 2 to July 9. Anyone have any advice/tips that was actually there during 4th of July week?

I'm going this year for the 4th of July, too. I've never been during that time of the year. Though I've been to WDW many times before. Wondering the same as you. Is there anything we should know before we go? Like things we should expect. :confused3

We will be there the same week. It is my first time so not much help either. But I did start to freak out a couple of weeks ago when reading another thread talking about the crowds. From what I have read, count on the MK to be full by 1:00pm on the 4th.

This is our third 4th of July at WDW. IMHO Magic Kingdom is just not do-able. We're going there for Cinderellas breakfast this year (the only day I could get) and leaving right after. The upside is that Magic Kingdom shows their 4th of July fireworks on July 3rd also. We do this as it is MUCH less crowded. We have then done the MGM fireworks the last two years and walked over to Epcot for Illuminations the extra fireworks and music are amazing. We will definately be at MGM if they have them if not we will be a Epcot.

I know everyone is saying to avoid the MK completely. However, is it possible to go in the early morning and late in the evening without too many issues? During the fireworks I will be at the Cali Grill but I thought afterwards, I would go over to the MK. That will be around 10 or 11. Do you think it would be less crowded by that time of night? :sunny:
