First off, there must not be many dis members in my area because our home depot had a ton of alien green mickeys. Anyway, My question.. Do you cut the Mickey off the backing or try to tear it off? I told you it was stupid.

I keep the Mickey head on the backing and cut the excess cardboard.

I cut out the heads and pasted them to each other, so this way its on the front and back, puch a hole thru it and thread it with some green ribbon...but you can be creative as you want... You can leave them if you want to (If you are lucky enough to find them) :)

My first one, I cut out, then I saw a post where they said to soak in water, then the head would come right off. Tried this yesterday and it worked great! I had to leave them quite awhile. I kept checking them. It was so easy that my DGS4 finished them all for me! The head seams to be more vinyl-like than the baking paper, and holds up well to the water, while the backing starts to dissolve. :thumbsup2

My DH will probably think I am nuts (even more so), but I saw an idea on another thread here that someone made a scrapbook page and taped it to their door for other people to sign while they were there. Since I scrap, I am going to do the same thing for when we go in August. Gutta get to the HD to get some of these paint samples now!

I love this idea! I'll have to do this. Hopefully i'll have a page to post, when I return from POFQ. :goodvibes

Neither...
For the Christmas cruise I positioned Alien Green Mickey heads into a Christmas tree shape for the stateroom wall...Before making the tree shape I spread glue on the backing around the head shape of each paint chip and sprinkled gold glitter.....on a few others I glued colored sequins around the head shape (drove me nuts!)...very sparkly! Others I glued back-to-back and hung from my Christmas tree...very sparkly on each side!

Hopefully I'll come close with this: Home Depot carries "official" Disney paint colors. The light green samples tend to be in short-supply in many areas of the country. Strange, isn't it? Coincidence, I don't think so :teeth:

Green somehow became the official unofficial DISer color and the samples (or pieces thereof) are pinned/taped/glued/stapled to clothing to help DISers identify each other while "on location" at WDW.

:rotfl: :lmao: OMG, that's too much! My husband already thinks I need a 12 step program due to the amout of time I spend on these boards (and I can't really disagree). If I told him I was going to Home Depot to stockpile paint sample cards to actually wear or create crafts with he would surely have me committed. Wow, its good to know that others share my addiction and are actually worse than I am  :dance3:
