I just want to make sure that when you fly Westjet from Toronto Pearson International Airport, you clear US Customs there & not when you arrive in Orlando.

So, we do clear customs in Toronto?? Sorry, I didn't quite understand the answer. This is my first trip with Westjet. After we clear customs do we just leave our luggage for DME to pick up for us? Can we put our tags on the luggage in Toronto?

I haven't been to Pearson in a long time, but it'll almost certainly take longer for you to clear customs than it did for us here in Ottawa. It took us nearly two hours before we were seated in the boarding area.

So after that is done you put your checked bags on the luggage carousel with the Magical Express yags already on there and when you land in Orlando go straight to the Magical Express check-in counter. A few hours later your bags will show up in your rom.

What if you are from Atlantic Canada and your connecting flight is in Toronto? Do we clear customs in Toronto too? Will there be enough time between flights if there is only a little over an hour layover?

As for their being enough time that depends on what time you land in Toronto and you also need to pick up your checked bags after landing.

I am in Winnipeg and fly through TO everytime to Orlando. Our connection is tight usually about 1hr give or take and we find it is just enough time to pick up our bags, get through customs and head to the gate in time for a quick potty break/diaper change at the gate.

As soon as you land in toronto look for a westjetter and have them explain where the baggage belt for guests who need to make a US connection is. Get your bags right away and head straight through customs. Customs wants to see you and your bags. After you clear customs there is a connection belt clearly marked place your bags on it and proceed to your gate. (you will have to go through central security again before your gate)

As mentioned prior have all your magical express tags on before you place the bags on the connection belt.

Stop any Westjetter you see along the way and they will point you in the right direction.
