It's time to sign up for the Lose 5 for June Challenge. As in the past I'll update the post at least by Wednesday of every week, sooner as time allows. You can sign up at any time and everyone is welcome. If you'd like to lose more than 5, that's fine too - just make sure and let me know in your sign up post.

Here's the breakdown for your updates:
.1 - .5 lbs. lost will be in Orange
.6 - 1.5 lbs. lost will be in Blue
1.6 - 2.4 lbs. lost will be in Cyan
2.5 - 4.9 lbs. lost will be in Navy
5 - 6.5 lbs. lost will be in Royal Blue
6.6 - 8 lbs. lost will be in Deep Sky Blue
8.1 - 10 lbs. lost will be in Light Blue
10.1 lbs. and over will be in Green

i'm most likely cancelling my WW online for a while and following the program on my own -- so i need some accountability, i have about 10 lbs more to lose but these last pounds are tough. i'm also leaving for vacation june 22 -- so i'll shoot for 5 in june

Morning everyone - you are all so POSITIVE ~ I need to hang out here and get some of your mojo!
I am going on that same beach vacation as OhMom (my DD) so I really have to make June count too!
5 for me and WHEN that happens (I almost said if....see you are influencing my thoughts already) I will be so happy and back on track that I CAN do this with the help of my WISHer friends!!

I'm in for 5! BUT....would someone kindly explain to me how this works, as I'm sort of new to this forum? Do I report in here with my weight loss each week?

You can report as often as you would like. Some people post whenever they get on the scale (I was like that but backed off that this last month) and some people post when they do their WW weigh-in and some just post on a weekly basis. There are some that post at the end of the month as well. Whatever works best for you.

My first WI for the month and I am down .4...not great, but a loss none the less...plus I am just glad it wan't a gain since this past weekend was Memorial Day Weekend.

I don't really know how this thread works but I would like to lose 5 lbs. by end of June. Then I have to lose 10 more before Disney in Spetember. I figure 5 lbs. a month shouldn't be too hard. Any tips would be great. This is last of the baby weight from DS who just turned 2 last week. Now I have no excuses! :rotfl:

I'm getting ready to add those that just signed up. It's never too late to sign up. So far my month has not started off great but TOM has left the building and the water is on it's way out also - thank goodness!!!!!
Good job everyone and welcome to those that just joined us.
How this works, for those that are new, is that you checkin whenever you'd like with your loss or gain. On a weekly basis, at least, I do an update on the original post so people can see how they are doing (and others for encouragement). If you want to check in more often, that is fine. I try to update more than once a week but some weeks I don't get a chance to get here because of work and at night I don't get much computer time. But I try as much as I can. Hope this helps.

I've lost .5 lb so far!! YAY! That's great seeing as I had gained a few pounds after I signed up for this thing(I do believe it was water weight)...I am now a half pound less than what I was when I signed up! :cool1:

i just posted my clippie change and i was shocked to be down 3 lbs already! i did this once in may and immediately shot back up so i'm determined to keep this loss!! TOM is stopping by soon so i probably won't see a loss for a week or two but maintaining this during then will be a success in my book

Sorry I'm just getting to updating. I had a rut this weekend and got into a very depressive state. There are some things going on at work that really got to me this weekend. And today I was super busy.
You all are doing so awesome. Keep up the great work. I was up 7 pounds and went down 7.5 in the last week (proves I can do this) but today was total bonkers. I just couldn't get full. I know that's going to do a number on the scale for me tomorrow. sigh
The plus is I'm working out more and feel pretty good when doing it, which is a good thing.

Sorry this is the first update in a while. Work has been nuts as has life again. My depression got the best of me this week and with the exception of work I was basically non-functional in the evenings. During the day has been horrible because my boss was leaving this week and we had so much to do. But now we'll see how the next few weeks go. This has taken a huge toll on me - I am up 1 pound but at one point this month I was up 7 pounds. My exercise has been non-existent since Monday because of the hecticness. I'm ready for a new week!!!!!

I worked really hard this week and lost the two pounds I gained plus another 1.5! That puts me at 2.5/5! Too bad I don't work that hard all the time!

Awesome job everyone. We are nearing the last week of the month - 1 1/2 to go and it'll be July. Truly hard to believe.

Hey, everyone! I think I'm "stuck" on the June challenge. A vacation threw me off of my eating plan, and I'm having a hard time getting the pounds to come off. Hopefully, I'll be back in the groove for July!

I'm not doing well either this month due to vacation. I gained 5 lbs! I can't believe it, I walked and walked and drank a lot of water. Oh well, maybe July will be better.

Hang in there guys - I've had a bad month too but not too bad right now. Had our Relay for Life and I walked a load last night - between setup yesterday from 9-3 and then doing various errands around the Relay during the night and doing a rush cleanup when it started raining at 1:30 (and didn't get that done until 4) I got in 260 minutes of walking and I can't even begin to calculate the amount of water I drank. It had to have been close to a case of 16 ounce bottles, at least. I didn't want to get dehydrated and I didn't.
Keep it up everyone - still got another week (my TOM week so what I weigh on Wednesday is what I'm counting because it will go up by Friday).

Hi everyone! This has just not been a successful month for me :rolleyes: . We went to WDW for 9 days at the beginning of the month (that was fabulous!), and I have had a hard time getting back into exercising and eating right. I still have 1 more pound that I gained during vacation to lose, and if I can just weigh in by June 30th with that gone, I will be thrilled! :cheer2:
I'm hoping July will give me a chance to get back on track and start losing those 15 pounds I want to get off by September! :cool1: Thanks for being such a great support system, everyone! :sunny:

I stayed the same this week. I ate out seven times and attended a family reunion with lots of fried food, so I'll take it this week. I think I'll probably stick at 2.5/5 in June. Last June I gained three or four pounds. Even though I didn't make goal, a 2.5 loss is better than any gain. And I'm still under 200!

Well today is my final weigh in because TOM will start tomorrow. It was not good and this was a really horrible month. I ended up gaining 5.5 pounds. Not good at all and definitely not the direction I want to be going. I will host the July loss but I'm not going to participate. I need to get my eating and my life under control and not focus so much on this part of it.
Keep up the good work everyone - it seems this month was hard on us all. Congrats to those that even lost a little - great job. And good job for those of us that tried. It takes a lot to admit that we gained but we made an attempt at getting it off and that's what counts!
A few more days for checking in.

Well, I have to admit, I didn't check in this month at all because I was so frustrated with myself. I went up and down all month and I am now ending it where I began. I guess that isn't bad, it just isn't as good as I would have liked.
I am going to get back on track and start exercising though, and hopefully that will help.

Today was my final weigh-in. I'm not sure how I did it, but I lost two pounds since Tuesday. That puts me at 4.5/5 for the month. I also get to change
my clippie and I have officially lost 100 pounds!
Thanks, cruise, for running the challenges. They have been so incredibly helpful and motivating. I certainly hope that things get better for you soon!

congratulations to everyone on your losses! I didn't update through the month because I was having a hard time staying on track anf found my weight to be going up & down for most of the month. It's been harder to stay on track with all these bbq's and parties and birthdays I've had lately, hopefully I can keep up with how good I did the second half of the month.
BUT I am happy to report that I'm ending the month at 6 pounds gone! Now on to July

Thanks, Chris! It is pretty incredible to say that I have lost 100 pounds. Of course, the scary part is that I have quite a few left to lose (at least I think I do-I really don't have any idea what number I am shooting for). You have been incredibly helpful to me. These challenges keep me on track and you have always had a kind, supportive word when I've been struggling. I know you'll get back on track and will be joining me at that 100lb mark soon!
