I would naturally begin by saying "I'm a Disney freak." But then I thought, nah...Disney freak is an oxy moron...
I am a complete Disney fanatic and that is all there is to it. Some of my friends are members to these crazy "cool" boards and I...I'm a member of the Dis Boards. But hey! That is me; that is who I am.
I have several music books for my piano that are themed Disney songs. That is just about all I play (almost). I like to listen to Live365 Disney music. All my presets are of Disney stations that play, "totally awesome Disney songs!" The music isn't just movie classics but park area sounds, nighttimes spectaculars, parades and what have you!
I enjoy making up these little "activity" packets for my sister to complete and I find myself editing and playing around with Disney pics on my computer. I have a HUGE scrapbooking collection I recieved for Christmas and guess what pictures I am using? Yup...Disney. Because we go to WDW every year (and use up about 4 cameras each...) I can't even begin to count how many pictures we have...*very fun to organize and look back at all the old Disney memories*.
My car antenna has a Mickey's Happiest Celebration on Earth head at the top...in fact, both my cars do.
I spent A LOT of time last summer viewing random Disney sites (and let me tell you, I know more than I think I should know!!!! Honestly...is it natural to know how many pounds of lint Disney produces each day? No, didn't think so...Or how many spots there are in total at Disney's All Star Movies 101 Dalmations section? Again, didn't think so lol)
Since I was born, I have been brought up to love Disney, my entire family is a Disney family lol. How could I possibly NOT adore everything Disney?? :confused3
In 48 days...I am going home!

Well, last night I was getting sick of studying for finals, so I just kind of went over to the piano and sat down and started playing and singing along to every single song in "Beauty and the Beast". :goodvibes

I have disney fanatic moments when ever i watch the movies. For example, when i watch Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid (my fav. movie) i sing along to every song. Not only to i sing to every song, i talk along with the characters too. I think that i could recite every line in of the Disney movies. :woohoo:

oh how these moments are frequent..XD
i know every beat to the illuminations song. i could humm the entire thing from start to finish because i listen to it too much. actually, the entire epcot/tapestry of dreams cd. oooh yeah. thats something to be proud of.
on the radio they play commercials adverstising for disney, and they always add at the end "that's the thrill of having the magic in your own backyard" and i think i glow and smile like an idiot for a good ten minutes following.
everytime someone talks about disney, i usually end up taking over the coversation. ive finally got the reactions of "becka...breathe.." or "becka...shut up..." or "omg!please come with us so we dont have to hire an expensive tour guide! @_@" my ego ends up loving those last people.

I completely know about EVERYTHING you just said...
First...Illuminations...as previous mentioned, I was dancing like a complete fool in the car...and proceeded to re-live that experience last night on the way home from shopping...I know every beat too, and listen to it usually about 3 times a week
Second...the smile...omg the smile. BASICALLY, one of the main reasons, no lie, that my parents take me to Disney World (besides that it's an amazing vacation spot), is so that they can see "that" smile. It ONLY comes when in Disney, and occassionally talking about Disney. It's this huge, eye-sparkling, heart racing, happiest-place-on-earth smile. Childish in nature, timeless in use. OH the Disney World Smile. :cloud9:
Third...convos with friends about Disney...oh forrgeett it! Hahaha, I usually start spitting out facts and trivia and news that I have heard from...hmm...ALL OF YOU...and ten minutes will go by and I will realize that they have changed the subject and are talking to one another while I am still babbling on and on about Disney...talking to myself.... :hyper2:

I make all of my school projects Disney related. Yeah, an eighth grader, still putting Mickey on my clay pots in art.
In my orchestra/.band, I sing the Disney songs, and noone else knows them. '
I printed off all of the requirements for being a cast member
My dad asked me if it was possible to borrow money off of my future paychecks from disney
I sit on the dis for hours chatting. Need I say more? :dance3:

thank god someone understands THAT smile. and it comes with this swelling in your heart feeling, and your skin tingles and your eyes get all misty. i still cry at the fireworks and spectro magic. it never gets old. i get an adrenaline rush from listening to the music, like i can feel my stomach flip and my toes curl. its an amazing feeling, and with me, all i want to do is share it. my brother laughs at me everytime i cry at the shows, but i cant help it.
theres so many things WRONG with the world nowadays, and being at disney, and seeing all those people of every race, size, and gender coming together at the end of the day to "gather 'round the fire" or to stand attentive before a princcess's castle, for a brief moment, there are no problems, everyone is just happy. you can see it on everyones faces, from the tiny children to the elderly in wheel chairs, they all have this same, awe-stricken face of pure childlike delight at watching fireworks explode and listening to such wonderful, heartfelt music. if you see a cast memeber during the shows, their faces look so content, and euphoric at watching the people. i can only imagine what they must feel. i want to know what they feel.
when people say they "dont like disney" or its "stupid" they obviously dont have an open mind. its not just a theme park. its not just a place to suck your money out of you six times a year. its only one word: magical. its everything they tell you it is and more. and its unfortunate that some people think that way.
wow....didnt mean to rant about it. but i just feel very happy that SOMEONE understands. finally! :rotfl:

Becka, the part I bolded is exactly how I feel. When I'm on the plane going to Disney and I see other families that I assume are going too (who wouldn't be on a plane to Orlando if they're not going to Disney? :goodvibes ), I feel so connected to the rest of the world, like we're one big happy family! What's even better is when you see the same people on your flight home!
Last night I had a dream that I was at Disney...but I won't be going there for a while (but hopefully maybe next January!)
I <3 Disney!

Well I'm more of a Disney World Fanatic than a Disney Fanatic in general.
Everyday I watch the Disney Planning DVD, and a few taped shows I have on Disney World on my DVR.
I have tons of books about the resort which I read when I'm bored. And I have a big box of all the pamphlets I've gotten from the parks and resorts since 1996.
And a lot of the time, I smell certain smells at places that remind me of Disney World. And I'll say, "It smells like Disney World in here", and my friends give me a weird look.
I also have Splash Mountain, Tomorrowland, and Animal Kingdom framed posters hung up in my room.
And when I'm on the computer I just sit and listen to Disney World music while I look up some interesting facts on the parks.

I swear reading all of these things about WDW gives me more proof that we all must be related in some way. It's like everyone here is my long lost family! :cloud9: That's also how I feel EVERYTIME I go to WDW. It may sound corney but I always love the happy feeling that I get when I go... like there's nothing wrong in the world because WDW exists! :grouphug: It's like going to my second home to see my second family. I always laugh more when I'm there too.
5 MORE WEEKS UNTIL WDW AND THE CRUISE. :cool1:

OKG. The whole thing about the smell!!! My dad had this cherry scented air freshener in his truck. I was thinking, and all of the sudden, I looked up and said tha it smelled like Disney. I coudn't put my finger on it, but it SMELLED LIKE DISNEY WORLD!!
Also, my planning DVD broke, and you can only get one per household. I got it about 3 months ago. I'll have to get one next year.

oh the smells :) i mainly smell something which reminds me of disney at school then there's the oat so simple porridge which has apples in and makes me think of philharmagic... and at school we have these interactive white boards and the wipes to clean them smell like the orange groves from soarin' and on Tuesday i could smell some dusty smell which made me think of magic kingdom i think just don't remember where
just wondering if anyone else has the relive the magic DVDs which are fan created DVDs of most of the attractions, hotels and downtown disney at WDW (and a bonus DVD of the remember fireworks and the new parade at disneyland... forgot the name of the parade) which adds up to 18 DVDs with over 20 hours total (i think the only reason i got it was because it had soarin' on it) and i think if you buy it now it costs less then when i got it (about $75 dollars less) :)
now if only i could remember the site for it...
