I'm posting this thread from St. Petersburg, Russia. This is a lovely city, but I just had to check here on the DIS to see my countdown clock so I know how long it will be until my next DVC trip. On the scoreboard for my heart, Walt has Peter beat. And I miss checking on the DIS!

Oh my word, you are far away! We can't wait to make time for an Eastern European cruise, we have to visit Gdansk and St. Petersburg Russia. Are you on a cruise?

Anyway, have a great time!

Wow...
I have to admire your dedication to Disney. I lived there and studied Russian in college, and now teach it to high school students. It would be hard for me to say which I like better. I hope you are having a great time. Be sure to try some plemeni! They are pretty amazing!

Bobbi,
Yes, on a cruise. You will love it.
Diane,
Heard about the 97 degree weather. Worried my peonies and the last of my rhodies will have come and gone by the time I get home.
Schoen,
Too late! Only 2 days in St. Petersburg and now we're off to Poland. Next time, I guess!
I have seen some fabulous castles, but I guess Cindy's still makes my heart the happiest!

Did you go to the Winter Palace, Petergof Palace, Katherine's Palace? St. Petersburg is a beautiful city, hopefully I could visit there soon.
You must be on a Scandinavian cruise?
Have you gone to Estonia, Tallinn?
The reason I'm so excited about those places is that I was born in Estonia and lived there most of my childhood.

mxtiger67,
I visited all of the above palaces and Tallin as well. Estonia is just lovely. You can be very proud of your birthplace. I could have spent much longer strolling in lower and upper Old Town. I loved the story of your folkloric music method of stating your independence. No wonder you are proud!
