I can't believe it I have just found my DD's mobile phone going around with the laundry in the washing machine!!! :sad2:
I don't suppose there is anyway that it'll be alright once I have retrieved it, is there? I guess that I'm just going to have to go ahead and replace it again (she had her last one stolen!) :furious:

Oh dear, Catherine, what a shame, I suppose you could try drying it out in the airing cupboard prehaps, but I wouldnt know how hopeful I would be, sorry :grouphug:

Sounds as though you might need to replace it Catherine. I've heard people that manage to dry the phones out but they never seem to be the same again :grouphug:

Try taking out the SIM card and then removing the battery. Dab it dry with a bit of kitchen roll and then leave it open to dry out for several days. Mine survived such a soaking and is still being used.

Hope it still works...it could do once dried out if it does dry out.
Although MIL recently put hers in the washing up bowl by accident, it stayed lit all the time and the screen was blank so she ended up buying another.
I've just dropped my MP3 played in the bath and well its broke...its currently drying on the radiator but I cant see it working.

Yeah I dropped mine down the toilet :rolleyes2 ; just took it apart as far as I could (covers, buttons, battery, sim etc) and dried all the components in the airing cupboard for 48 hours. It worked again - in fact, this was nearly 5 years ago and it still works.
Ds dropped his 1 week old i pod in the swimming found after 4 hours never to work again
but was told to dry it out in an airing cupboard but not to switch it on
might work for the phone :wizard:
