DF decided that since it is a bank holiday he was going to get a days golf in. So Tom is away golfing whilst I have been to the gym, tidied the house, finished the travel arrangements :confused3 I'm shattered now :rotfl:Think I would prefer to be at work :teeth:

I know what you mean Florence,I have been up since 7.30, I have hoovered through, done a pile of washing, made some lovely breakfast sausage bagels, and just finally managed to drag my daughter from her bed, remember the days when we could lay in until lunchtme ;) not any more.

I had a lie in (11.30) then had a bath & washed my hair and came downstairs to tea & toast courtesy of Gavin :goodvibes

There's a price though, he is now making 'diy' noises at me :guilty:

I don't feel so bad now Sue. At least everything is done and I'm adding songs to my ITunes whilst I'm Dising, so life is ok now. On the plus side Tom will come home tonight, hopefully feel guily because I have worked so hard and get a take-away :thumbsup2

Normally I would love bank holidays, except it's Half term, so it's not really that important to me (since I am off anyway!) and I have to do revision..

Hope you enjoy your time off peeps. :)

We were going to do some gardening but had a storm at 11.30am with hail, then it brightened up, but now dark again and raining :(

Neighbour took a chainsaw to his tree at 8.30am :furious:

OK I know I'm a student but I appreciate other people have things to do on normal days, so I don't moan about noise during REASONABLE hours, by 8.30am on a bank holiday Monday? Is ANYONE awake then??? (Well clearly, the whole neighbourhood is awake now...)

It never ceases to amaze me Kath how many people do this sort of thing when you have the chance for a little lay in. On the last bank holiday we had neighbours of ours were having electronic garage doors fitted and they started at 7.30am :furious:

We've just got back from a couple of nights in London. DS was invited to a sleepover at Hamley's which was very exciting. His brother and sister were very jealous so we headed over to the Science Museum and saw the Pixar exhibition just before it closes. Then we had the joy of contending with the bank holiday traffic this morning...

Nice relaxing day planned for today. :goodvibes

I know, it's like, okay so you may have a day off work but so does everyone else and they're TRYING to enjoy it. At that time on a day off, most people are either asleep or trying to have a nice breakfast with their family!

People just simply DO NOT THINK :(

Just got back from the Melton show and I'm soaked to my underwear. The weather can not make its mind up - glorious one moment, drenched the next...at least in Florida you dry as quickly as you do getting wet...no such luck here!!!My kids were crying and I nearly joined in.It just puts such a dampener(excuse the pun) on the day!!!

This morning me and dd had a walk to the garden centre and had a sandwich there, amazingly we missed the rain as it started to come down while we were in the garden centre and stopped on a walk home then started when we got in.

in the afternoon we watched shrek on the PC. dbf is away so just the 2 of us.
