Just keep telling yourself, the average temperature in August is 1 degree warmer than June and July and there is less rain. Throw in the lower prices and smaller crowds and August has been a no-brainer for us.

Now, there is certainly an increased threat of hurricanes. But you can get a rain out on any dates. April is the supposed to be one of the months with the lowest rain totals. We experienced a week of heavy rains in April one year.

BTW, we will be there August 17 through September 2. :bounce:

We'll be there following our Disney cruise, the weekend of August 26th! We're staying at the Polynesian resort.

I'll be looking for the lime green, Mikeee! LOL I had lime green ribbon on my waist pack a few weeks ago when we were in WDW but I never saw anyone else with it, and nobody approached me about mine either. Oh well! I did see a lot of DIS people on that trip, but those were pre-planned events. :smooth:

Lime green is the disboards color. Wear something that color or bring an accessory that is lime green and you may be noticed. Others have hung a pad of paper on the room door for people to leave notes.

We are heading to the Beach Club 8/26-9/2. This will be our first time at the BC and the first time visiting WDW in August. We've been to WDW in the first part of September before so I can't imagine it is that much different and we did fine. Humidity in WI is not much different than humidity in FL. :sunny:

I'll be travelling with DH, DS6, DD3, and a student we're bringing along to help with DS and DD. My daughter is too short for all the rides my son can go on, so Sarah will be helping us do the baby swap so no adult has to ride alone. ;) I fear my DS will chicken out on some of DH and my favorites!

We arrive on 8/26 at around 3:00 and plan on heading straight to SAB. :cheer2:

My DH is staying home, can't handle the crowds. I have a lime green golf shirt and I'm making the lime green mickey heads. They are the home depot paint chips that I'm laminating and I think I'll put my screen name on them. I will be wearing one, have one on my room door along with a message board for anyone walking by. I'm trying to get a hat made but that is iffy right now

We fly out on the 25th and arrive at 10:45. After lunch we are heading to MK, gotta ride POTC.

Let's just hope our we get through the airport with ease and safety.

Usually a Fort Wildreness camper, taking a break to test other resorts. Have been to Carribean Beach and Riverside. Got stuck :happytv: Labor Day 2004
with Frances at Riverside.

If you're taking ME the tags are yellow and peel off to stick around the handle of your checked baggage, like the ones with airport codes used at the airport. The other luggage tags you should receive are plastic with a picture of the castle on them. They are for you to put wherever you wish. They're just a little gift from Disney, but you don't have to use them anywhere specific.
