Hi! FYI... this offer is only good in Chicagoland and Florida Disney Stores, now
thru the last week of November. The Chicago stores carry 4 & 5-day hoppers,
and the 6-day hopper plus. These are the regular passes, so no expiration dates.
The shirts are cute.... Mickey and the Gang with castle... "Funseekers".
When you're buying passes, please be patient. The process of ringing all
the *specials* is a bit long and tedious, especially if you are buying several passes.
Going in at a slow time would most likely be appreciated by all concerned!
If you're shopping in Vernon Hills, IL, tell them lydia sent you! :)

I don't think it's for residents only...just available only at Chicago and FL Disney Stores. I called my local store (I'm 3 hours from Chicago) - and the CM said she'd heard about it in an FYI - but our store wasn't participating.

What can the gift cards be used for? Can I buy one get the $50 card and use the $50 card on my next ticket? or is it only good for merchandise? I arrive in Orlando on Nov. 30 might be worth waiting until I get there.

Is there only one store in Chicago that this is valid at? Could you use the $5.00 off a $25.00 purchase coupons they have been giving out or the $10.00 off a $75.00 coupon from who wants to be a villionaire? on the purchase of these tickets? Can you order by phone? Thanks for the help:D

Just thought I would pass this along... still don't have anymore firsthand info, but this was posted at Mycoupons.com..

The Disney Stores in FL and the Chicago, IL area have a promotion going thru Nov. 25 on Annual & Seasonal Passports. Anyone buying an adult pass will receive a $50 GC(good only at Disney Stores) and a T shirt. Annual-$289., seasonal-$179. Children's passes only receive a T shirt- Annual $246, seasonal $152. The Annual passports will have an additional 3 months(15 months total) because of Walt's birthday. Friends or family in these areas can buy the tickets for you, if you live elsewhere.

In your post it sounds like you are saying that I can get an annual pass for $289 and $250 for my kids. This sounds almost too good to be true, as the last time I looked the adult AP was around $350, and i'm not sure how much the child's cost. I tried to locate the advertisement at mycoupons.com but couldn't find it. Could you help me out and explain in more detail how this deal works? Also, how does the seasonal pass work?

We will be at WDW this November, and will buy our passes at the Orlando area Dis store instead of at the resort as we had planned if this deal is as it sounds. Thanks for any help you can provide! :smooth:

I think those are Florida Resident AP rates! I very much doubt that a FL resident can buy one for someone who lives outside the state of FL.

Also ~ is the annual pass offer good for Florida residents only? Seems a little too good to be true! =)

Ok, here's the deal...at least according to the Chicago Cast Member I called.. (BTW-this is the store at Michigan Ave)

She said that it is ONLY their store and ONE other store in Florida that is doing this promo. (She didn't know which other store in FL) She also said that you COULD have somone pick up your tickets and send them to you, but they can't ship them.

Also, it is ONLY FOR PARK HOPPERS! (According to Marisole, the CM)

And, the cost for a 5 day adult PH was $230.02.

I think this about covers it... So, now I just need to find someone in Chicago to buy my tickets! LOL!

I called the Disney Store in Skokie, Illinois (Chicago suburb) and they have that promotion. I was all excited, because the CM said they could do a mail order! Then the manager called back and said they could NOT mail WDW passes. ( I may drive up to Chicago just to get the passes, because it's too good a deal to pass up.

***I called another Disney Store in the Chicago area - and the CM thought this promotion would last only one week!

I gave in and called a store in Florida (I should have thought of that first!)

They said that you don't have to be a Florida resident to get parkhoppers. But, it won't work for annual passes for non Florida people.

The deal, she said, was $50 gift certificate with an adult pass ( think she said 5 & 6 day) and a tee shirt for a child's pass (no gift certificate).

I bought an adult 4 day hopper and a child 4 day hopper today and took advantage of the promotion. I got one $50 gift card and 2 t-shirts. They have a sign that says thru Nov. 25. This was the OakBrook store.

For the closest to Wisc. I would see if Gurnee Mills has a Disneystore and if they are participating for closer to 94. If you are closer to the 90, the Spring Hill mall in Elgin or possibly a Rockford store. :)

Hi! First off, the closest store to Wisconsin is at Hawthorn in Vernon Hills! (No store
at Gurnee Mills) That would be Milwaukee Ave. and Rt. 60 (Town Line Rd).

ALL Chicago area stores are participating. The promotion goes thru November.
It is for 4 & 5-day hoppers, and 6-day hopper plus. There are no coupons that
can be used towards passes, but offer is good on Disney Club passes as well.
No mail orders, but anyone can buy the passes (so a relative or friend could pick them
up for you) The info states that gift cards can be used for merchandise at Disney
Stores (and I believe, on-line and catalog).

Please be aware that we are selling a lot of passes right now. We do not do our
own ordering... they are automatically sent. Sooooo..... please allow yourself a
few extra days before your trip when buying passes, if possible, in case the
store happens to run out of the ones you need! Happy travels! :)

I purchased Park Hoppers while down in WDW last week. Only one day was used on the Hoppers. I called WDW this morning, and I was told that I can turn them in when I go back to WDW to upgrade to an Annual Pass.

bought my MKC 5 day hoppers at the DS in Orland Park, IL. got a $50 gift cert with each adult hopper and a T-shirt with each adult and child hopper. the gift certificates do not expire, but can only be used at the DS, not the big one on disney property (World of Disney?) the CM's here get a $5 bonus with each sale, so make sure a CM gets credited. we're going in two weeks and I'm glad I put off buying my tickets. read about it on these boards - thanx!

I'll have to think about this one.

Currently, my friend and I are going to buy 2 one-day bounceback tickets. But, I will be in Florida from November 21st until the time I go to WDW on November 26th. I could buy each of us a 4-day pass, but I can't imagine what my friend would do with a $50 gift certificate (which I wouldn't feel like buying from her). She's not a Disney person, which explains why we will be in Orlando for 5 days, and only spend 2 1/2 of them in the parks.

Too bad you can't use the $50 gc to buy Disney dollars. That would work out perfectly (but then it wouldn't be my life, now, would it??)

Our TDS are not participating and we will be there from 11/10/01 to 11/17/01. We will be buying the 5 Day Hopper and would love to take advantage of this.

I just returned from buying 10 5-day park hoppers at the Disney Store in Joliet, IL - about 2-1/2 hours from where I live. I called the Orland Park store first, and good thing I did - as they didn't have as many adult hoppers as I needed. I felt a little nervous with $2100 worth of tickets and $400 in gift cards in my purse, as well as the 10 t-shirts, but I made it home safely. :)

I had no problem purchasing 3 4 day hoppers at TDS in Bloomingdale, IL and getting the deal.

I got all excited because the CM said I could use the gift cards to buy Disney Dollars, but her manager made her check it and I could not use it for that purpose. I'm still happy!

have a friend pick them up and send them to me? That would be ideal as my DH has forced me to live in NJ, far far away from my normal habitat (in the Chicago area) and even farther from Florida! I could place the order (using my DC card and credit card) and then she could just go get them. Anyone have any idea if this would work?:confused:

I went to the Disney Store today, just to make sure they weren't doing the special here in Texas ;) . He went back and checked on it, and came back and said there were only 4 stores in the promotion, 2 in Chicago, and 2 in New York State.

I know this conflicts with everything I've read here, but I just thought I'd pass along his response.

We are driving to Disney in two weeks. I called two Disney stores in Orlando and both are participating in the promotion.

Florida Mall Orlando (407) 240-4411 (I didn't get directions to this store)

I looked on the Disney Store website and found 3 stores in the Orlando area. I called and spoke with an employee who stated that all 3 of the Orlando stores are participating in this offer but he did not know how long it would last. My brother left for a conference in Orlando today so I gave him money to buy 2 adult hopper passes since I will be in WDW in Nov. I will let you know if he was successful or not!!

My Dad picked up three 5-Day Hoppers for me at the TDS at River Oaks Mall in Calumet City, IL. He received 3 gift cards and t-shirts! I am so glad I waited to purchase my tickets. I just called my cousin in Florida and she is going to pick me up 2-5 day hopper passes. The CM at the Disney store in St. Petersburg was so friendly and helpful on the phone. She said the promo was to go till Thanksgiving Week.

I'd like to hear the fine print, too. We've got 4 adult passes to buy and I'm not sure whether to wait until our trip and buy them in Orlando, or just order them from a discount site. If there is any way we can use the gift cards to lower our cost in the parks...if we could use them for dining? Also, how long are the gift cards good for?

It's a good promotion anyway, in my opinion. I hope they decide to go nationwide with it at some point.

Thanks very much for the tip on this promotion. DW saw this thread and called my attention to it. We drove to a nearby TDS today and bought three 4 day hoppers (adult) (they didn't have the DC 5 day hoppers I wanted, but suggested we buy the 4 days and then upgrade them at WDW guest relations in order to get the benefits of the deal. We also were given three T-shirts (they gave us kids's T-shirts, but said we could trade them in for adult T-shirts when/if they get their new supply in). We used the $50 gift cards to buy $150 worth of DD for our upcoming trip. What a great deal. We just needed one extra day on our old park hopper plus passes for our upcoming trip, but these prices are way too good to pass up--especially since we are DVC and will have many trips in the future.

BTW, they were going through passes like water and said that they could not order any. They get a certain allotment of each type and that is it. I would assume they may get some more in, but they sold a total of 15 park hopper passes jsut in the 15 minutes I was in line. It takes a long time to do the transaction, but it is well worth it. Thanks to you and thanks to my DW for callin gthis to my attention!

I just called two Chicago stores that my friend lives by to see if they were doing it so she could pick them up for me.
The first store was the Stratford Square mall in Bloomingdale, IL and they told me that they still had the deal going on and they had been told it was a "limited time promotion" and thought it would go until Nov 24th. The 4 day park hopper for adult was $203.52 child $161.12. She stated $50 gift card came only with adult ticket and they were out of adult t-shirts but had kid ones for buying the child park hopper tickets.

The second store I called was Woodfield mall in Shaumburg, IL and they said they had the special going on and that he had been told that it ran through NOV. He also mentioned they were closing the current location today and moving to another place within the same mall.

I plan to have my friend pick these up for me and I am giving her one of the $50 gift cards for doing it for me. I hope this info helps and everyone can find someone to get tickets for them!

By the looks of that fine print anyone should be able to purchase DD or a pass with the gift card. If the CM or mgr says no I would show them the back of the card and push the issue.

ok, this looked worth it so i called the orlando fl mall disney store and was told each adult park hopper does come with the gift certificate, but can't use to pruchase additional tickets. can use towards dd, but they are limited and on a first come basis, so you could get there and only be able to use the $50 in their store if dd were sold out. To me not worth the risk since i can purchase disney store stuff here and the price of park hoppers is $20 more a piece than i can get at AAA.

Wait a sec. I thought the gift card was kind of generic, could be used at any Disney Store. I'm planning on picking up our hopper passes at the Florida Mall, but not getting any stuff there (no room in our bags for more stuff).
