View Full Version : Aren't there any direct flights from Houston?
I am desperately seeking a direct flight from Bush or Hobby to MCO and can't find anything...anyone out there that can offer a suggestion?
Thanks!

When I go to WDW, I usually change planes in Houston (at Intercontinental-is that the same as Bush?), then fly direct to WDW. It's Continental, and the one I take leaves Houston about 8:15 am. I think Southwest goes through Hobby, but the plane stops (no change, though) in New Orleans. I'm sure about that Continental one though. Hope they haven't discontinued that one-it's almost always the one I take!

Continental used to be the only airline with a non-stop flight from Houston and it left from Intercontinental (also known as Bush). Now, Southwest does have a few non-stop flights from Hobby, but most have a stop over in New Orleans. I've taken that flight many times, and you aren't on the ground long in New Orleans and don't change planes. Personally, I much prefer the Southwest flights, because I don't have to deal with IAH. Hobby is so much easier to get in and out of and Southwest is my FAVORITE airline!!!
It's pretty sad that a city the size of Houston has so few non-stop flights to Orlando, IMO. :(

Continental flies non-stop from Bush to MCO, but the schedule cutbacks might mean that there are no available non-stop flights on your particular travel dates. And as previously mentioned in this thread, SWA out of Hobby could very well be cheaper and more convenient.
