Who will be at the Fort for the 4th of JULY ?

we will!! We arrive in Kissimmee on Saturday the 1st, but won't check in to FW until Sunday the 2nd. We check out on the 6th :sad: , however, hubby and I are planning on dropping the kids (all 7 and our Saint Bernard) off on the 6th and coming back and extending :woohoo: our camp without them to the 10th (I hope they won't make us change sites).


Are you traveling with or without kids (either2 or 4 legged)? Hope to see you there!!!

WE WILL!!!! we arrive on june 26 and check out july 9. We are traveling with kids dd 14, ds11, ds9 and dd5. 2 dogs toy poodle, miniature dashound. this is our first time in the fort. We are so excited. Our countdown is on the fridge.

It will be me, DH, DS10, DD8 and our Dog. We stay at FW a few times a year. We also bring our golf cart and are not in a preferred site. We will be decorating our golf cart for the 4th and hope to see ya all there :sunny:

It is so good to see people with kids my age!! We don't have anything planned for July 2 maybe we should see if we could hook up at the campfire that night or something!

How soon did you make your reservation for this stay ? I ask this because we would like to go down in July '07 but I won't know my exact vacation date for July until February of '07.

It is great to see so many diser's will be at the Fort together. I would love to plan a meet. I think the campfire would be great but I can't make it on the 2nd. I actually work at the WOD at DTD on Sundays and will still be going to work durning our trip. I Would love to do the campfire on the 3rd or 5th? Anyone else?

I booked our trip in March . You never know how availablitiy runs at FW. I think you would still be able to get it booking in Feb.

I'm up for it, just say when. We'll be there from July 2 to July 9. (the evening of the 6th will be bad for us because we'll be taking the kids home, but we'll be back on the morning of the 7th.)

We'll be there from the 30th to the 8th in a preferred site. This will be our first time on a week's vacation and our first time camping for a full week! I'm so excited!!! It'll be my husband and I, along with our two little ones (DD, 6 & DS, 4).

We'll only be an hour from home, so we aren't going far in reality but we'll be oh so far away!

it's getting closer will also be in a preferred site 7/3 to 7/9 just look for the class c coachman with all my GD'S all girls 2-7 plus 1-11 plus 1-13 and 2 cousins 1 boy 7 and another girl 11. i'm glad we have 2 campers and 2 sites still gonna be lots of fun with the whole family can't wait.also have my green mickys.

I've never heard of this? When and where do they do this? We've never been to FW during a holiday!

I ahve never been to the Fort for the 4th but I was told it takes place in the Am and runs from the unhitch spot .Someone correct me if Iam wrong. We are really looking foward to be in the parade!

we go to the parade every year, you would think I would remember the time just once. I always have to check the posts at the comfort stations when we get there. I believe its around 8:00AM. It is always early enough that we either eat a quick muffin from the trading post or eat breakfast after the parade.

Its definitely worth seeing. People really go all out with the decorations and its neat seeing the castmembers in the parade as well. There are always goodies for the kids, like candy and beaded necklaces, being thrown from the people in the parade. About ten years ago the Disney firetrucks were throwing Reedy Creek Fire Dept. shirts and little rubber Disney characters, but I don't think they do that anymore. :thumbsup2

This will be our first trip to FW. We will be there July 1-3 or 4th depending on wheather or not we can get the night of July 3rd. We will be GM, my wife, DS-9, DS-6, and me. Oh yes our cocker spaniel, Sulley.

I think doing a Dis meet on the 3rd will be great! We will be easy to recognize, my DD , Angelina is in a hot pink wheel chair . I will check what time the campfire is starting this month and we will try and meet maybe a 15 mins before it starts. What do you guys think??
