Hi my name is Cherie' and I wanted to tell you about a new cross stitch group that I have started. It is a brand new group, only about 6 weeks old. We are an international group with approx. 30 current members and counting.

POINTS OF INTEREST:
The group is starting a new floss swap, sign up starts June 1. Bookmark swap to follow soon. Possibly other swaps and exchanges in the future. I am always looking for new ideas if you have any you may post them on the suggestions board. We have 2 game areas with many games to play, and many more to come. We share cross stitch helpful hints...plus so much more. Do you like to talk and make new friends, there are various message boards, I am always on and love to talk by starting new messages and replying to messages on the message boards. Soon I will be adding a new recipe message board where members may share their favorite recipe. I am currently looking into adding a search engine to the site and many other ideas.

You must apply to become a member and I do NOT accept blank applications, so make sure to fill out WHY you want to become a member. Due to unfortunate happenings a few weeks ago all members are required to read the group rules page (very simple / easy and short) and then sign the rules message board as soon as application is accepted.

Tell me on your app where you saw this add.The site is very nicely done, extremely organized and helpful. As I told my current members this will always be a work in progress web site.
If you like to share cross stitch ideas and make new friends....then go check it out (its free); :cheer2:

I cannot give the web site address so I will type it this way in case you are interested; groups (dot) msn (dot) com (forwardslash) sewwhatcafe
there are NO w's in front of groups....

Don't forget, let me know on your member application where you saw this add. Thanks for your intereset. Hope to see you all there and make new friends, Cherie'

It sounds like a lot of fun, but I personally just dont like signing up at msn or yahoo. I just dont like to have to go thru all that crap just to sign up for a group at either place.
I do though love exchanges, and swaps but just not at yahoo or msn.

Hi Tammy  , I'm sorry to hear that. At msn groups it is only one page to fill out. A potential person only checks their email and group preferences and at the bottom a box to fill in why one would like to join the group. I am a member of several cross stitch groups, both at msn and yahoo along with a few other places on the interenet. However I haven't joined any new group myself at Yahoo in a while so I am not real familiar with their process.

We would love to have you if you change your mind! Hugs, Cherie'

Yeah I use to belong to groups at both places but I didnt like it when they changed the formats, just too hard to keep up with, blah, blah, blah. I much prefer "real sites" as opposed to signing up under msn, yahoo, or any other kind of groups. Even EZBoard is better than msn or yahoo at least there you can have different forums where as at msn or yahoo you cant do that. I use to even have a Yahoo group years ago but when they switched the format around, I closed it down and switched over to using an EZBoard.

Best of luck with your group and your exchanges, they are so much fun.

I know this is an out of date thread but maybe someone can help me. I'm looking for a pattern of the alphabet in Disney font. I want to stitch the announcement that we are going to POP for 5 days this Dec and it is a surprise to my DH & DS.
